 10. Maroon 5 'One More Night'

Will be interesting to see the T10 effect of this - I imagine it'll be quite significant anyway. Who would've though a month ago that this Billboard #1 would've been a possible top 10 hit; the video'd been out ages and done nothing more than a #100 peak.

ME? MLJ and PP did WONDERS in the UK chart and like all the other charts in the world OMN did the same so Y not in the UK also?

Leona Lewis - Trouble  #38  (Childish Gambino verson #18) Other versions in top 1000 too. :D

Maroon 5 likely to have another big hit then..in the top 10 now!

Was wondering what Ben E King was doing in the Top 40, but apparently (YouTube comments to the rescue) its something to do with EastEnders.

I've never expected Maroon 5 to have another top 10 hit, especially with One More Night, saying that they have really done well this era after a rough blip, their debut material from "Songs About Jane" was pretty impressive, they have certainly turned things around in the past 12 months.

As for Stand By Me, yeah it was Eastenders it was the wedding theme for Sayid and Christian.

Almost anything will make a song chart nowadays - even a *fictional* wedding... :P

I kinda expected One More Night to go top 10 eventually, I think they were just waiting for Payphone to die off over here before pushing the next single

 12. Latch (feat. Sam Smith) - Disclosure

/Bre style pedantry over.

Have to laugh at people buying the new Chase & Status track - it's available on their website for FREE. Saying that, Hypest Hype' was also a free download; but upon the release of the album charted at #70. People should really do their research before clicking.

Diamonds might well take another week at #1 after the video :w00t:

The next two weeks look quiet in terms of big releases

It was never going to miss the top 10. I don't know why it's taken so long to take off here but it was always going to happen (the hint is in 'Billboard #1', that's as close to a 100% guarantee of top 10 as you can get). 'One More Night' for the time being isn't even my least favourite song in the top 10 shockingly!

Disclosure coming for the top 10 :cheer:

Chase & Status up to #37, could even go top 40 despite being available legally for free :drama:

Everything Everything @ #38 and (just) top 40 in the mids, probably will drop out over the week but then The Other Tribe held on 2 weeks ago so there could be hope!

If you told me 18 months ago that Maroon 5 would double the number of top ten hits they already had, I wouldn't have believed you. SO happy they have.

Do you go on every artist's official website before buying a song or download it? I don't.

It's funny, but other songs have gone top 40 whilst being available for free download before, so it's not too surprising it might happen again. It's Chase & Status, so any chart success they can get I'm on board with.

Just Googling 'chase & status big man' clearly comes up with a link to the free download, you don't actively have to go to their website to know about it.

Not complaining about the success at all though, just surprising (in a good way) that so many people are actually paying for it :P

But if people have heard about a song form their favourite artists or whatever, surely they're more inclined to just go straight to iTunes as opposed to googling?
