Right Now is the worst and most generic song on Rihanna's album imo.

Nobodies Business is a much better dance-pop song, and I think it has a good chance of being 2nd single, rather than Right Now. I think after Where Have You Been, Rihanna's label hopefully won't release Right Now. They're aiming for massive #1 hits like Diamonds, not middling top 10 hits.

"Right Now" is distinctly underwhelming

Catching up;

Wasn't expecting DJ Fresh to rechart today, thought he wouldn't show up until next week - great to see it back! Not a big fan of the Shy FX remix but the original is still great. Adding more sales to an already very high selling song (for a non-top 20 hit). 12 weeks top 40 with a #24 peak now! :o

Boo at Naughty Boy climbing.

'Right Now' sounded a bit odd on first listen, I think I liked it though? I have it down as an album track as no second single has been officially announced but am I right to assume this will probably be second? :P

Nice to see 'Wings' climbing again, it still sounds good now - by far my favourite first proper single by an XF winner.

'Wings' still sounds so good! I'm not bored of it so I'm pleased to see the albums release has pushed it up another few places :D
their albums were launched in the same way

What, you mean going around performing like most artists do? :P Okay, they may have similar genres of music, but how that makes Emeli Sande a rip off Adele, I don't know. There's only so many genres of music out there, people are going to do the same stuff,

Think of the chorus of Rolling In The Deep.

Now think of the chorus of Next Of Me.

It was the only thing that stopped me liking the song!

Probably, but Stay (Mikky Ekko collab) and Nobody's Business (Chris Brown collab) have been well received. As she's unlikely to release two mellower tracks in a row, I'd assume Right Now or Nobody's Business will be next though.

Unsurprisingly, my favourite lyric from this cover version is 'You're going to reap just what you sow', especially given who performs the line.

Does someone (Bré?) have a list of all the Beatles' entries in the week they were released to iTunes?

40 Hey Jude

46 Let It Be (climbed to #38 the next week due to the X Factor)

48 Twist And Shout

64 Here Comes The Sun

78 In My Life

83 Come Together (climbed to #81 the next week again due to the X Factor)

86 Yesterday

90 I Saw Her Standing There

94 Eleanor Rigby

99 Help!

[/late]

AC/DC have charted a song quite a bit higher than The Beatles then but then they don't have anywhere near as many classic songs as The Beatles so the sales are less split :P

UK pop quartet McFly burst on to the chart scene with a fresh twist on the boy band formula, they played their instruments! They wrote their own material! Lead vocalist and chief songwriter Tom Fletcher originally tried out for Busted, but when he was beaten to the position by Charlie Simpson the band's management held further auditions to form a new outfit centred around him. The links between the two bands were cemented when Fletcher contributed material for Busted b-sides, and the two bands toured together in 2003. The invaluable exposure from the tour helped push McFly's debut single, "5 Colours In Her Hair" to the top of the UK singles chart where it was promptly joined by debut full length ROOM ON THE 3RD FLOOR. Follow-up effort, WONDERLAND, matched that achievement and in 2006 they moved into the movies, starring alongside Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan in the film JUST MY LUCK. - HMV
