41 was pretty darn awful tbh. And I wasn't in the final so I'm not claiming the contest and would like to pretend it never happened :D

Did it based on memory of the songs rather than looking at my votes - thought that'd make it more realistic to the current day.

Oh I miss having contests like the first half of the year :( Those were the times when I actually qualified too! I think 48 is the turning point to a more indie-dominated contest after Aeroche's second win, I guess everyone thought they had to send indie to get through. Having said that 48 is not that bad at all, whereas 49 and 50 are pretty dismal.

 

I think 47 might be my favourite contest of the year, with 41 following close behind.

Eeek, not sure! I know last year the semi voting was open until after Christmas, but that may have been because we started later. I'll check with Phil and let you all know!

Well, Bastille have done QUITE WELL for themselves since I entered them, gonna take this opportunity to be proud of one of my entries :D yeah I know someone else sent them before me

 

Thanks for the recaps, I am really not gonna have the time to listen to all of these all over again, but there are definitely some songs I gave few/too few points too that I've grown to love and hope do well here.

XLI was SO good, aside from sending one of my personal favourite entries of 2012, my top three are all still incredible, and likely to feature in my EOY top 100! :D

Based on some tired/quick maths the final should close Dec 23rd but I might keep it open a few extra days and have it close the 26th/27th.

XLV appears to be my favourite contest of the year, my top 5 are all so so good. :wub: That and the following three contests were all great and my favourite entries of the year all come from those contests.

:wub: I think it's easily in my top 3 entries overall this year to be honest, so it's fitting that it's really my only entry that has a chance (perhaps f(x) given it was 2nd in the semi, but with it slipping in the final I won't hold my breath)!
