Oh at James Arthur having a day sales advantage, I think this week could be closer than I originally thought as James Arthur should still shift 15,000 today+! (Sunday) I expect both 01 and 02 to have sales off over 200,000!

For the week, I assume, rather than by Wednesday?

I think that next week's chart race will be one of the closet Christmas #1 races ever. It depends on how much James Arthur's sales decline though.

Or perhaps not - I suspect The Justice Collective will sell enough to even challenge JA's last week sales...

^^Also 'Ten' has jumped from #71 to #36 - The documentary was amazing and had a real 'feel good' kind of story to it, Think they will get a hefty sales increase next week.

Virtually every album gets hefty sales increases at this time of year, of course... :P

Ah, I just saw that it had a big jump the past 3 hours and thought SCD was probably the most obvious cause, thanks for confirming!

It's strange that a song that old can still jump up that much. Has it even left the top 100 yet?!?

No - #83 on 1/12/12 is the lowest it has been (Unless you count its January debut position of #97).

I think that they will both have sales of over 300,000 in my opinion. I don't know how much the Justice Collective single will sell though, I don't think it will sell more than 500,000 copies.

It's quite blizzare that there are a number of artists who have recently had hits looking to miss the Top 40 this week. Robbie, JLS, Ellie Goulding, The Killers. You'd think the record companies would of pushed these back to January where they'd have a better chance of doing better.

Oh Justice Collective released on Monday? Expecting it to be a tight week

JLS doesn't have a shot of top 10, right?

I don't think they'll go top 40 let alone top 10. Quite obvious that the label thinks the album sales have been poor and releasing two singles in their way of trying to improve that. That'll backfire too though

For some reason I expected the TJC track at #1 this morning, I didn't realised the track is released tomorrow, its going to be a tight week than, with James's extra day sales... physicals + downloads. He probably end up with 100k+ head start which is probably quite easy to beat.

The Whole JLS release is a little bizarre - rush released + seemingly with no videos for either song out yet - unless they're waiting to release them in the new year when the X-Mas songs have all gone. Eitherway flopdom seems inevitable

Bizarre move not to release TJC track on Sunday especially as physicals for James will be strong - He was getting massive impulse sales yesterday as the CD single is stacked high by the tills am sure it will be the same today, Still sure TJC will get it though especially as their physical is going to be sold for £2.

Seems like a bit of a knee jerk reaction to save the album however it's going to result in a flop single and no album sales impact.

Actually looking at the release schedule I'm surprised JLS, Robbie and Rebecca Ferguson are releasing new singles this week, they are quite easily going to get lost in the pack, they should have waited till the new year, when single sales are low. When will record companies learn. They stand no chance getting top 3, it seems just a wasted effort.

41-100 are going to be the "Championship" of the singles charts with all these big names :D

I had no idea JLS had a single out! The thing is, they're toast anyway....I think they'll disband and release a best of in 2013. Their fanbase has moved on and with the likes of 1D and if UnionJ/District 3 start releasing, There is no place.

Robbie, his efforts are on the JFT96 single, Ellie again it hasn't been picked up ditto The Killers. They should have waited until January 1st to release everything....dead time of the year and all that.

But charting well in the singles chart is not what they after, it's all about boosting the album as much as possible for extra Christmas sales.

Between 3-4pm. Expect the track to climb then, probably top 10.

Bizarre chart, must be Christmas. What is this Justice Collective? I'm quite out of the loop on novelty tracks atm
'Figure 8' isn't 'looking like missing the top 40' (yet, anyway). It might even get there this week. JLS' and Robbie's seem to be rushed half-arsed releases so hardly surprising that they're flopping (is this really the impact week for 'Different'?!)

Yes, it is. Robbie's new song is playlisted on Capital and it's getting good airplay on the music video stations, so I don't know why it's flopping!

I think Figure 8 will steadily climb a bit into January, it will probably eventually peak about the same as The Writer, perhaps a bit higher.

Saw the video to 'Figure 8' this morning and it's so much better than 'Anything Could Happen' imo. Hope it can become a fairly decent sized hit for Ellie Goulding.
