Yes I long for the days of the mid-2000s when you couldn't move for hearing a bland man with a guitar masquerading as "indie".

F*** guitar music. It's pretensions s*** most the time. And f*** the idiots stopping JT from getting to no1. Great idea to stop what should be a massive comeback. It's over now. Trying to understand how s**** the public are. Look at America

Selling hundreds of thousands. Let's all lick rihanna c*** talentless ***. I'm off

Shut up. It's all s*** anyway. F*** the charts. Country full of music snobs.

Banned.

Now you shut up. Ta.

Oh and remember kids, it's only the charts, nothing to get seriously stressed over

SexiBack could've at least waited until it was official that JT didn't make #1. He's still got a chance of getting to no. 1 on Sunday at the moment.

Clearly the world is ending because HE MIGHT NOT BE (trauma!!).

The thing that makes me laugh is JT probably could not care less where he charts in the UK  If he was actually bothered he would have promoted it more than just a few tweets

JT does not PROMOTE, he merely delivers..... and the world will deal :D

The radio doesn't do things by half, unfortunately. And I'd rather have that than complete guitar phobia.

Justin Timberlake has already had multiple #1's, let someone new have a chance for a change.

I don't think "guitar music" is all bad. Some of the songs are catchy. But sometimes fans of that genre annoy me with how they think their music is "better" because the artists can play instruments or whatever. And when I was in senior school, around year 10 time, loads of people became "emo" for a while and they were acting all depressed and I found it so annoying, I couldn't get along with people I used to like. I had my "depressed" phases as well, but I would listen to up-lifting songs like Smack That, Babycakes, My Humps, Candy Shop, Ridin' Dirty, etc. to make me happy, I never saw the point in listening to depressing music when you're already depressed lol.

I think people would probably listen to "depressing" music when they were depressed, to help them through it. I think it works too. I've had some depressing times, but it actually helped to listen to darker, moodier songs. I don't know why either. I guess it's just a mental thing. Like when you have an annoying song stuck in your head all day, then you go home and have to listen to it, just to get it out of your system sort of thing. Why would you want to listen to "depressing" music, when you're happy?

But UGH at 50 Cent being number 1. Please Willney, STOP HIM :( Justin is decreasing on iTunes so I can't see him getting there (although #2 might not be out of the question for him!), but I think the weekend will help Willney a lot, so seeing as they're probably the most likely contenders, I'm backing them to get a second week :D

So? And at least the music was good and the music still is good...

And SexiBack is an complete idiot, just as everyone else has concluded.

Good points. Maybe people choose to listen to depressing songs when they're depressed since they can relate to them at the time as well. Although at the time during the "emo" craze, I felt like some of them actually enjoyed being depressed with the way they were acting. :drama:

As for Justin, if it's true he's only a few thousand behind atm, I think he has a very strong chance at making it for Sunday.

Unbelievable Eric, this is the second time within a week I agree with you completely. Depressing music is not really for me either but tbh sometimes it's good to hear :kink:

I think some depressed people listen to depressed music, because they feel they are not alone with his/her problems and helps them through (that is what Jonjo told too actually). I for one listened to Enya when I was depressed. Her music made me relax more. Thank god I'm not often depressed, but I still love Enya. :D

These are "uplifting" songs?

Come on Anne, get that top 20 smash :cheer:

Obvious points are obvious.

And it's quite funny to think you're relating the two.
