As easy as it is to knock Leanne Mitchell, Pride is actually really good. It's like a more oversung power ballad-esque version of Emeli Sande's Next To Me.

Go Leah, nice to see something related to The Voice not flopping for once! To be honest though, considering those acts Emma's Imagination and Pepper and Piano from that Sky talent show in 2010 went top ten with a fifth of the viewers at best of The Voice, you'd think that they'd do better. That said, those songs were originals and these are covers so maybe people felt more merit in buying original compositions. You Took My Heart was gorgeous, I still listen to it now actually.

Agree 100% on both points. I also thought "this just sounds like Next To Me" when LeAnne was performing. She does those big notes really well, but a year on I still don't see any "star potential" in her. Also why did they perform in the order Tyler, Vince, Bo, Leanne? Does that mean Tyler finished 4th last year in the final? :o

Anyways, releasing these The Voice performances now is actually such a brilliant idea. Had they done this last year, there might have been more interest come the final (maybe?). It's clear that Leah owned her version of 'I Will Survive' but like Bre's posted, it did verge towards the increasingly OTT singing that makes me cringe inside. Either Leah has peaked too early, or she has already won The Voice UK. Would laugh now though if someone else won and they do bugger all in the charts whilst finalist Leah has the biggest hit from the series. :D

Still, I'd be interested in hearing an original song from Leah to give me a better idea of what type of artist she'd become. I liked the fact she took a disco classic and gave it an RnB makeover.

No, Vince was announced in 4th. Bo or Tyler could've been 2nd/3rd though.

 at Leah being top 10. Hope she starts freefalling within the next couple of days. I wonder how high some of last year's performances could have got if they were actually released on the week, 'Higher Love' could have gone top 5 I reckon if it managed to go top 40 several weeks after the performance when he didn't even win.

I liked the Must Be The Music chart effect, they were all original songs which were actually quite good for the most part (really liked Emma's Imagination's 'This Day' in particular). Could really do without The Voice doing this every week though. Everyone on there ranges from uninteresting to unbearable (Leah is closer to the latter).

Wonder if Leanne's album will climb into the top 100 now after her performance. #507 and #1,197 on iTunes right now :P

You're half-right - those two did chart (as did Max Milner's 'Free Fallin'' and Vince Kidd's 'Like A Virgin') but they weren't actually released on the week they were performed. They only became available on a compilation album released the week the series ended. 'Higher Love' rightfully entered higher than Leanne Mitchell's 'winner's single' :D

Ah right! I knew I remembered some of them charting, I forgot that it wasn't until after the series had finished! :kink:

Is part of it also because those were studio recordings, whilst these are recordings of the live performance?

These are studio versions too, aren't they?

From the sound of the previews, they are studio versions. :D

Who is Leah Mcfail and why is she in the top 10?

Leah McFall is a contestant that performed on tonight's episode of The Voice.

From the sound of the previews, they are studio versions. :D

Yeah, Reggie said on the show that they had recorded "versions" of their performances.

Christina Perri "A Thousand Years" at #23, #164, #203, #502 & #701! I'm so glad this song has been so successful and prevented her from being a 1 hit wonder

Nice to see Leah in the top 10. Hopefully Rudimental will overtake Union J to jump back into the top 10.

Really glad "Ho Hey" got a big boost. It should stay top 40 for another couple of weeks now!

Miley Cyrus - "We Can't Stop" at #246 on pre-orders. It grew on me quite quickly. I hope Capital pick it up and push it to the top 10. I don't think I can bare to see her peaking at #11 again.

The two 'I Love It' tribute versions by Loreen Harris and Stephanie Treo's version have now all been deleted. :drama: This leaves the following:

447. Glee Cast - I Love It (Glee Cast Version)

732. Ameritz Top Tracks - I Love It (Icona Pop & Charli Xcx) [Karaoke Version]

1062. Ultimate Karaoke Band - I Love It (In the Style of Icona Pop (feat. Charli XCX)) [Teaching Vocal Karaoke Version]

1086. Venus Palermo - I Love It (I Don't Care)

1258. Nicki Bliss - I Love It (Workout Mix 126 BPM)

And no sign of the expected release date for the pre-order being changed at the moment. :(

Lovely (as over used as it is now) to see 'A Thousand Years' back in the charts and SLAYING, just as much as the last time it was used. One of my favourite ballads in recent times. Stunning.

I also need Bo's 'Save Me' to be a genuine, big hit. It's wonderful and deserves to be absolutely huge :( (Very pleased she's the only one with a top 10 album though )

A Thousand Years is f***ing shit, and so so so bland. I like Christina Perri but it is by far her worst song, it should be Arms getting that success as a followup.

WOW at the effect performing Blurred Lines on Graham Norton has had for Robin Thicke (the performance was incredible)

01. Robin Thickle Feat T.I & Pharrell - Blurred Lines 100%

02. Naughty Boy Feat Sam Smith - La La La 42.8%

03. Passenger - Let Her Go 26.3%

Next week is a quiet release, UnionJ might get another week top 10 after all, unless Taylor Swift/Ed Sheeran manage to go top 10 after their BGT performance.

The performance was indeed amazing! So feel good and I'm very pleased to see it be as huge as it deserves. It's a real grower!
