July 4, 201411 yr 'Heal' is a masterpiece and near everything Loreen does is pure gold. Even her take on the Swedish national anthem gave me goosebumps. Quality not quantity dear Griff.
July 4, 201411 yr I just couldn't get so attached to an artist and their legacy in such a short space of time I guess. Edited July 4, 201411 yr by GRIFF
July 4, 201411 yr I definitely could - I think I've invested more in people like The Vamps and Tom Odell over a year than I have for, say, Beyoncé in 10 years. Would definitely say they're worthy of being in my top 20 - possibly top 10 as time goes on (I was reluctant to put them too high too soon).
July 4, 201411 yr Unless I'm being blind, how did I never do this the first time around? :o anyway, something like: 01 Demi Lovato (Skyscraper, Heart Attack, Don't Forget / Unbroken) 02 Kelly Clarkson (Because Of You, Behind Theze Hazel Eyes, Sober / Breakaway 03 Taylor Swift (Should've Said No, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Love Story / Red) 04 Carrie Underwood (Before He Cheats, Cowboy Casanova, Flat On The Floor / Carnival Ride) 05 Jessica Mauboy (Burn, What Happened To Us, Pop A Bottle / Beautiful) 06 The Saturdays (Higher, Up, Missing You / On Your Radar) 07 Katy Perry (Hot N Cold, Firework, Roar / Teenage Dream) 08 Rihanna (Unfaithful, SOS, Disturbia / Loud) 09 Miley Cyrus (The Climb, Wrecking Ball, See You Again (Rock Mafia Remix) / Bangerz) 10 Lady Gaga (Bad Romance, Pokerface, Dance In The Dark / The Fame Monster) 11 Beyoncé (Listen, Irreplaceable, Halo / Beyoncé) 12 Little Mix (DNA, Move, Towers / Salute) 13 Iggy Azalea (Fancy, New Bitch, Goddess / The New Classic) 14 Miranda Lambert (Gunpowder & Lead, Over You, Mama's Broken Heart / Revolution) 15 Whitney Houston (I Wanna Dance With Somebody, One Moment In Time, All The Man That I Need) 16 Olly Murs (Heart Skips A Beat, Troublemaker, Dance With Me Tonight / In Case You Didn't Know) 17 Ellie Goulding (Lights, Burn, Figure 8 / Bright Lights) 18 Britney Spears (Baby One More Time, Everytime, Toxic / Blackout) 19 Paramore (The Only Exception, Misery Business, Monster / Brand New Eyes) 20 Selena Gomez (Come & Get It, Naturally, Whiplash / When The Sun Goes Down) Kate Bush and Madonna just miss out!
July 4, 201411 yr I don't think I have a complete top ten but The Saturdays, Adele and Kelly Clarkson would definitely be names that spring to mind.
July 4, 201411 yr KODA KUMI (D.D.D feat. SOULHEAD, Physical thing, IS THIS TRAP?) YES YES YES. HOWEVER all three songs selected are turds. You completely forgot about "Lollipop", "Taboo" and "Juicy"!!!

July 4, 201411 yr Seriously people. An artist being in your Top 10 of all time based on one or maybe even two albums is ridiculous. When did you all start following popular music? Kindly FO. Lol. ;D Busted are in my top 10 artists of all time and they've only released two albums. It's definitely down to whether the quality is to your taste or not. They've released 2 SOLID albums for me and I still listen to them. Loreen is similar but I personally can't rank her so high due to just one album, but I can see why some people do put her high. Don't let it bother you. It's not your life in jeopardy! :P
July 4, 201411 yr See though, I can actually understand that. Enough years have passed for that artist to have some sort of a legacy with you, unlike three months passing for one album.
July 4, 201411 yr See though, I can actually understand that. Enough years have passed for that artist to have some sort of a legacy with you, unlike three months passing for one album. Why is it such a big deal to you that I put Iggy and Loreen in there? It has nothing to do with you so what's the point? You keep going on about legacy, but what does that have to do with personal taste?
July 4, 201411 yr I can see where Griff is coming from. Just because the artists have meant a lot to you in the first few months of their existence, doesn't mean they'll necessarily mean as much in years to come. They probably will, but if I were to state my favourite albums of all time I'd never add an album that had been out for less than a few months for the same reason, despite how many times I've played it and what I think of it currently. I don't see the need to get all defensive and start blurting 'it's my PERSONAL TASTE!' Which always destroys the thread. I'll post mine later, way too tired now.
July 4, 201411 yr I'm going to defend those who put artists who have released only one album out and yet are ranked within their top artists of all time list. Just because an artist has only recently stepped into the music industry scene doesn't discredit the fact their material released can be seen by an individual to be of a superb quality, thus justifying why they are placed so highly up on their artist list. Sure, some individuals here have artists who are indeed "legends" of their own due to their impact on music but it doesn't necessarily mean every single song they have put out are of a top notch standard. I would place someone like Iggy for example who if I enjoyed 8/9 songs out of her album and rank them so high up in my individual songs list, in my top artists list than someone say Lady Gaga or Beyoncé who has released several albums but only two or three songs stood out amongst the batch and yet those tracks are of an inferior standard to Iggy.
July 4, 201411 yr Well it is personal taste isn't it? I don't see how people are getting "offended" by me including someone that has released an album 3 months ago but whatever. EDIT: What Oricon said! Edited July 4, 201411 yr by *Tim

It shouldn't really matter if an artist will "mean as much in years to come" to you. That's irrelevant. That's like saying "The relationship I have with this person can't be good because it might end in the future". It's not like the lists in this thread will have to remain the same in years to come.
July 4, 201411 yr No one is offended. I'm just surprised people can add very, very recent artists immediately into their fave artists of all time. Usually, for me, it would take a while to decide that. People should really stop being offended by this opinion tbh.
July 4, 201411 yr Tim put it out there, so of course I can have an opinion on it whether it has anything to do with me or not. Edited July 4, 201411 yr by GRIFF
