Finally top 40! I wonder if Fergie could "do a 'Ghetto Supastar'" and end up at #40 on Sunday? hopefully.
Wake me up has been moved forward to July 14th!

This simply must be a #1, I'm OBSESSED  Dance song of the year, easily - absolutely brilliant! So much better than anything Avicii has released so far.

That would be so weird. I think the first time Fergie would be in the top 40 as a solo artist since Gettin' Over You.

will.i.am produced Big Girls Don't Cry, it's difficult to imagine him releasing a song like that now lol.

Has Ciara released 'Body Party' over here yet? I can sense she just released it to iTunes without any push but I hope there will be some kind of push for it in the UK. Such a great song.
I'm kind of glad Tinie's song is getting held back, just because it shows his label are taking the song seriously, and have faith in it. If someone like Nicki Minaj had done that song it would've been left as an album track, maybe getting a music video at the most, and they'd have some dance song to release as the proper single instead.

It's like with Dizzee's songs, you can tell which ones his label have faith in. He released Bassline Junkie and H-Town recently which were on air, on sale, which obviously means they didn't care about them and didn't think they'd be hits, whilst his song with Robbie was held back, so they probably thought that had a chance at #1. Same with Chris Brown, now that he's decided to stop doing dance-pop, his songs are all being on air, on sale now, as if his label probably think there's no point in holding them back as they won't be hits.

And maybe Timbaland's current success means that Nelly Furtado can make a comeback (I wish). She should've waited an extra 12 months to release an album lol.

I dont think that because a label holds the song back the label 'are taking it seriously'. But i understand where you are coming from by saying that. Its uk labels that hold songs back because uk labels believe the be all and end all of artists is to gain chart sucess by scoring a top 5 single when the reality is Tinie could have benefitted greatly from a release this sunday or even straight away.

the biggest selling singles this year and since 2010 show this method is the best way. The current trend of finding a balance between this with 'pre-orders' is just stupid and basically asks for tribute acts to come and take up demand. Only 1 out of every 3 will patiently buy the preorder and wait 6 weeks to get the song to listen to - we can all guess what the others will do.

No, OA/OS isn't always the best option. Releasing the song a few weeks after it's been premiered is the way forward.

She did, in April or May I think. A remix with Future & B.o.B and a 9-track Remix EP are also available on iTunes. Not sure if she made it into the Top 200?

Not always but it is sometimes like Get Lucky. My point didnt say it was always the best option simply i was opposed to long wait for singles. I def supported the move for Blurred Lines - its about being active and finding the best release date which more and more these days is sooner rather than later.

I just wish the 'experts' in record labels could see this. Ministry of Sound is by far the worst offender btw

Oh I agree, Ministry Of Sound is awful for knowing when to release songs. Need U could have easily sold more than 125k if it was released a few weeks earlier. A shame for a record company who release exceptional compilation albums.
Dip It Low #101  would be great to see that back in the top 75

312. Bounce - Iggy Azalea

So low considering they're releasing on Sunday. :(

I'm probably the only one, but I much prefer Levels and I Could Be The One to Wake Me Up.

1) Levels

2) I Could Be The One

3) Wake Me Up

4) Seek Bromance

5) Silhouettes

6) X-You

7) Collide

Looks like Gentleman will be their second lowest peaking single :o
