July 3, 201313 yr Author Didn't expect tbh :o Icona Pop did 61k last Tuesday and ended up with 124k for the week, so technically John Newman should do much better, unless John Newman crashes. ^_^
July 3, 201313 yr John Newman definitely coming for 130k at the very least then HOORAY. Icona Pop dropping much more than I expected in their second week though, possibly only the one song over 100k this week and the run will probably end next week. Chase & Status look like they should hold onto top 10 quite easily :cheer: So happy to see 'Lost & Not Found' doing well, hopefully gearing up to another successful album although not expecting album 3 to be anywhere near as big as 'No More Idols' was. 'Ho Hey' climbing and 'I Will Wait' re-entering in the top 30 *.* (The latter isn't mentioned in the update BTW and the album update hasn't mentioned Vampire Weekend back in at #25 - still just confusion from R1's website marking re-entries as 'down' I guess...) Heard the Russ Chimes and Jake Bugg songs for the first time today on the update. Not sure if I've heard Russ before or just another song that samples the same thing but it sounded familiar, quite liked it though. 'Broken' was okay, better than 'Lightning Bolt' at least but not as good as 'Two Fingers'. Woo at 'Babel' still holding onto #1 but with only 1k in it Bublé is definitely still in with a big chance. 'Sigh No More' already down a place from yesterday so unlikely to stay top 10, but still incredible it can even be boosted back to midweek top 10 this long after release. Yay for Vampire Weekend and The xx returning to the top 40.

Not sure if I've heard Russ before or just another song that samples the same thing but it sounded familiar, quite liked it though. 'Broken' was okay, better than 'Lightning Bolt' at least but not as good as 'Two Fingers'. It's on an advert for Radio 1's festival coverage at the moment, maybe you're getting confused with that?

July 3, 201313 yr Poor Sats. I actually rate 'Gentleman' higher than nearly all of their previous singles - although that doesn't say much I guess. Looking at an unlucky #13 peak come Sunday I think.
July 3, 201313 yr High debut for The Saturday's! I reckon they'll fall to around 12 though on Sunday. Glad Jake Bugg just got into the top 40, three top 40 singles would be great!
