Its only a difference of opinion I am allowed to have a opinion am I? my opinion is APPLAUSE deserves number 1 it is an amazing song by an amazing artist and hopeful that the music vid tomorrow is also amazing!! :D

Releasing a video didn't help any of Gaga's songs climb the chart since 'Telephone'.. i remember 'Alejandro' and 'Born this way' falling down quicker after their videos were released...

Matt Cardle and Mel C in the top 10 is brilliant to see, i hope it can hold up but i think top 20 will be the worst outcome at this stage, for me it most certainly is the surprise hit, im a big fan of both and when i heard of the duet i was brilliant but unfortunately it will probably be a top 100 smash!! at the very best, how delighted i am to say i was totally wrong.

I really hope it can stay around and hopefully both can follow up with even some top 75 success following it. Both artists have released consistently good albums and they have under-performed with singles bombing, although to be fair Matt's second album did far far better than i expected considering there was some bad single choices.

Matt is just a prime example of everything that is wrong with x factor (even though i love the show) syco are not giving the winners a chance to find themselves or make long term success, matt is a small example of give people time and it may work, for me Matt is the best winner from x factor but like many before and after him he was treated badly by syco.

Thank god Mel C has her own label as only for that she probably wouldn't be recording, all her solo albums have been great but sadly the last few have flopped and she really was forgotten about in the UK market so its wonderful to see her get a hit again after so long and its great to see the most talented Spice Girl doing well even if its just for a short time.

Gaga could overtake with video effect all she wants but if Matt and Mel do overtake her at all it will be a moment of hilarity impossible to forget.

This.

Matt f***ING Cardle to overtake Lady Gaga a few days after 'Applause' is released. This is GOLD.

after the Matt Cardle/Mel C hit please a Joe McElderry/Geri Haliwell surprise hit too???

Leon Jackson/Victoria Beckham would be preferable.

BTW did climb after the video came out, it went back into the top 5 I think.
 13. Naughty Boy - Lifted (feat. Emeli Sandé)

Progress! :cheer:

I'm happy to see someone else liking this song. I'm far from a fan ('Heaven' is the only song of her I loved), but I think 'Lifted' is really good.

Wouldn't be at all shocked to see Naughty Boy stall before the top 10 now, and it is a fairly weak song :( I loved Wonder, and La La La was pretty good, but this is just limp. Shame cause Emeli's normally great.

5 new entries in the T15 can only mean some tracks are going to take big falls this week. Arctic Monkeys already down to #22 and Rudimental down to #28!

No sign of Wretch 32 in either T100 yet, things aren't looking good.

Looks like we're the only two, then. The whole album is beautiful, though. :cries: (well, apart from Easier in Bed, but that's better acoustic :kink:). I reckon this could be sneaking into the top 10 fairly soon, though!

DJ Fresh/Diplo - Earthquake  #11 :o

SMASHING IT :cheer:

YES glued to iTunes until this is in the top ten

That Matt/Mel song is actually quite catchy in a peculiar sort of way, but I feel like the chorus doesn't quite work. Impressed at how well it's doing, though.

Wretch 32 has apparently been put back to next week now.

Matt and Mel must be selling well outside their fanbases as their fanbases havent been enough in the past to get them top 100 so that may suggest they will hold up ok through the week especially if they manage to build up some air play.

Well yeah, it's not just their fanbases, since Radio 2 and Heart FM audiences have heard the song, and I don't see why those stations won't continue playing the song for a while. They also performed on TV I think which would've helped a tiny bit too.

Born This Way climbed a lot after the video. It was #10 on iTunes before the music video, and then climbed back to #4 on iTunes.

3. Klangkarussell

6. Matt Cardle & Melanie C (too relevant for Gaga to stay in front of anymore)

9. DJ Fresh vs. Diplo

12. Sean Paul

13. Naughty Boy feat Emeli Sande

32. Tich

49. Florida Georgia Line feat Nelly

It's amazing to see Matel comfortably in the top 10! I genuinely thought it'd peak around 8 or 9 on iTunes before free falling out of the top 10. The free falling is still inevitable, but I hope it can cling onto a top 15 position for Sunday's official chart!

And ahead of anticipated/more hyped releases like DJ Fresh, Naughty Boy & Emeli... etc.. And a fairly new GaGa (almost anyway)... it's impressive. GaGa will climb back in the top 3 with the video release I reckon though.
