And who remembers it now?

Because people only remember songs that stay in the top 40 for weeks on end.

Just because a few more radio stations picked up "Chocolate" for a couple of weeks doesn't mean everything else they've done is forgotten. I saw them at Leeds yesterday and they packed a tent despite the fact that they've not even released an album, and a lot of the crowd recognised pretty much everything they played. Open your mind a little.

Wow, Same Love is climbing fast! But weren't the VMAs like 24 hours ago? Or is it being broadcast on UK TV now?
About time Same Love is climbing. Macklemore is fantastic and is supassing Eminem as my fave rapper now ^_^

Well, Eminem will hopefully be surpassing Macklemore on iTunes tomorrow. :kink:

Go on 'Same Love' :D Hopefully it'll finally be sent to radio now. I think it's highly unlikely that it has been sent already and been snubbed, it's been a big hit in the USA which is a far more homophobic country than the UK and there's no way R1 and Capital would ignore it after they loved the first two Macklemore singles so much.

It might not be 100% forgotten but any casual music fans most likely will not remember it, due to it being a minor top 40 hit. That's the point Umi was trying to make as far as I can see? Of course their fans are gonna know their songs...

Can't believe it's finally happening! [/loon]

Paramore's Ain't It Fun has slipped down to #236. :( That's the bad news, the good news however is that it's now been reduced to 59p, so will hopefully recover. :)

That's great news! I really hope they will release the video soon. They were shooting it around August 7th, so it shouldn't be long I hope. Hopefully another top 20 hit for them please!

Glad to see "Same Love" rising too thanks to the VMAs!

Who are "casual music fans"? Pretty much everybody I know personally is just as into music as I am, if not more. I haven't forgotten that song you're discussing, since I never knew it in the first place lol, but I can easily believe that there's a million+ people that DO know the song. Plus, fans of that type of music don't seem to use iTunes, etc. much. It's more about albums, Spotify, live events, etc. in that genre, so it's unfair to use solely the charts to determine how well-known a song is imo.

It's been broadcasted on MTV UK this evening.

Thanks. :) Impressed it's had such a big effect! :o
