I hate when people knock the Arctics' last two albums as if they weren't a patch on the first two. To me they were just different and still pretty exceptional. Sales seem to cloud everything.

But sales are the only *objective* way to measure success (or the lack of it) - how much those fans who bought an album actually *like* it, is purely subjective, and therefore not comparable.

!! Imo, Humbug>Favourite Worst Nightmare (only just though).

I think AM can definitely clear the 100K mark; this album seems so much more hyped than the last 2.

I loved their last two albums (and Alex's solo album) but just can't get into these new songs.

OT :

For Jessie J fans - 'Who You Are' has debuted on the Budget album chart this week.

The new Celine Dion track appears to be going down a storm all across Europe and getting great reviews, i hope it can translate into UK success for her.
Arctic Combined have 2 songs in the top 20 after months of release and their album is number 1 already a week before... such a wonderful time for my favorite band :)

Surprised but pleased to see Tom O'dell doing well with 'Grow Old With Me' at #55 - Expexted it to be low Top 100 on iTunes at best - Also the 59p reduction for Nina Nesbitt has nothing for the track apart from stabilise it around the #70s position.

Tom O'Dell just doesnt seem to be connecting with the public like previous winners of the Brit Choice awards, he appears to be struggling with each release.

Bloodhound Gang Bad Touch is a megamazing track and lovely to see it charting again.

I don't really think that's true, Another Love went Top 10 & his album went straight to Number 1.

^^ Also 'Grow Old With Me' is not released 'officially' until September 15th when the EP becomes available so the fact it's charting 2 weeks before release gives me some confidence this will be a hit - Was not expecting it to trouble the Top 100 after his album went to #1

We do realise that sales are the only objective method, your lack of ability to quantify anything else other than your own opinions mean you can't really add to the discussion.

Oh wow, glad to see Things We Lost In The Fire comfortably in the top 40. I thought that it'd only manage one week in the top 40 (officially) then linger around the 40-50 region for quite a while.

And your above comment also adds nothing, so why did you bother?

I wonder if 'Counting Stars' could get to #11 in time for YM@6 to drop out of the top 10.
Pleased to see Bastille doing well - Hopefully the single will hang around for a while - Also I'm hoping the fact that the 6 track EP of 'Things We Lost In The Fire' will get a boost from being reduced to 89p on Amazon MP3

What's that doing (back?) in the top 100? :o (I'm not sure if it's just had an incredible top 100 run or if it's just recently been climbing again ) Everyone else can keep their Avicii tracks this year. This is probably my favourite dance track of the year. FLAW. LESS. *.*

Also, BRILLIANT to see Jason top 40 on pre-orders alone!

 17. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Mary Lambert - Same Love

Being put on the C-List on R1 is definitely helping

Has a track ever gone C-A on radio 1's playlist before? I wonder if 'Same Love' could do that? (I know it probably won't (ever) happen, but just intrigued)
