September 29, 201313 yr That's Kele's biggest hit since Flux then. Well done, even if the song doesn't come close to being either Kele or Sub Focus' best to date.
September 29, 201313 yr Good entry from Sub Focus. I'm glad it didn't outpeak Tidlewave and Endorphins though :)
September 29, 201313 yr Sounds like this should have been called "Turn This Around" rather than "Turn It Around". The vocal bits are better than the heard-it-all-before electro-dance bits.
September 29, 201313 yr I've only ever seen screenshots of the 'Blurred Lines' video too. I keep hearing the song all the time anyway, why would I go home and listen to it in my own tim?. Edited September 29, 201313 yr by The Hit Parade
September 29, 201313 yr 13 (from 59) Demi Lovato - Skyscraper [D] http://a5.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music/c5/ae/b6/mzi.srrixcfg.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run 2012: 32-54 [2 wks] Chart Run: 59-13 [2 wks] Release date: 26-02-2012 Format: download only single Label: Hollywood Records Video here: r_8ydghbGSg Biography Actress/vocalist Demi Lovato began making a name for herself after starring alongside the Jonas Brothers in the 2008 Disney Channel movie Camp Rock. Born in 1992 in Dallas, Texas, she was raised in a household that included her mother (a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader) and her two sisters, the youngest of whom launched her own acting career in 2008. Demi started out as a child actress, starring as a cast regular on Barney and Friends before finding her way onto the Disney Channel with a brief role in As the Bell Rings. Lovato's debut album, Don't Forget, featuring songs co-written by the Jonas Brothers, was released by Hollywood Records several months after Camp Rock's premiere. It debuted at number two, confirming Lovato's status as a star in her own right, and was followed in 2009 by the chart-topping Here We Go Again. Meanwhile, Lovato continued to act, appearing in a popular sequel to Camp Rock and starring in her own Disney series, Sonny with a Chance. In 2010, following a widely reported altercation with a backup dancer, Lovato left a tour with the Jonas Brothers to enter a treatment center for unspecified physical and emotional problems. After leaving the facility in 2011, Lovato announced that she had been treated for bulimia, among other issues, and had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She also revealed that she would not be returning to work on Sonny with a Chance. In 2011, Lovato released the studio album Unbroken, featuring the Toby Gad-produced single "Skyscraper," as well as the Timbaland/Missy Elliott-produced "All Night Long," but it was "Give Your Heart a Break" that was the album's second biggest hit, peaking at 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 on its way to being certified platinum. Lovato's comeback continued in 2012 when she, along with Britney Spears, signed to be one of the four judges on the second season of the U.S. version of The X Factor, debuting in the fall of 2012. Lovato's role on The X Factor was a success, leading to her return for the 2013 season. Prior to the show's fall launch, Lovato released her fourth album, Demi, which appeared in May of 2013 preceded by the single "Heart Attack." - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2008 33 This Is Me (Demi Lovato & Joe Jonas) -OST- 2009 35 La La Land -1- 2010 71 Wouldn't Change A Thing (Demi Lovato & Joe Jonas) -OST- 2012 13 Skyscraper -1- 2013 03 Heart Attack -1- Discussion Thread Here
September 29, 201313 yr Yay Demi  Weird since I bought this back in Feb 2012. Well deserved anyway <3
September 29, 201313 yr LOVE  And she looks like a completely different person on that single cover :o Stunning.
September 29, 201313 yr So happy that this has got a new peak, and hopefully it will be top 10 next week!
September 29, 201313 yr Her voice isn't up to singing a song like this. She can't reach the higher notes and can't hold the longer notes. Shame, because a) I quite like some of her other material, and b) a more proficient singer would have probably done a really good job with this song.
September 29, 201313 yr Oh FFS! :puke: :puke: :puke: This takes banality to a new level. :manson: :manson: :manson:
September 29, 201313 yr The verses aren't too bad but the chorus makes my ears bleed. So screechy, would be much better if it was sung by someone else. Plus the fact that it's a boring song in general.
September 29, 201313 yr Skyscraper is a well written ballad that in the hands of someone like Adele, could be quite good, but in the hands of Demi, someone who has to shout to express emotion, is just ruined.

September 29, 201313 yr I know this could just be because i love the song, but doesn't her raspy/(weak as some are saying?) vocals here make the song somewhat more appealing? The fact it isn't perfect isn't necessarily a bad thing. Just me then :kink:
