Someone, ANYONE please overtake that hideous Lorde mess :drama: even James.
Do you know what, I can't be bothered with it. Expressed an opinion, you do it, fchd does it, and yet I'm singled out all the time. I think I'll only use the Chart Forum for reference from now on because every time I post in here, despite my posts actually being harmless, I get bitchy remarks from the most pedantic people here. I apologise for whatever it is that gets all your backs up and why it seems to be different to what everyone else does.

I don't have a problem with you stating opinions, but you apparently do with other people. It's the fact that you moan at other people for doing things that you happily do all the time that I take issue with (and that's not 'singling you out' because you're the only person who does this).

Well there was 'Real' by Gorgon City feat. Yasmin which was rather good. She does need to release some more new material, though it'll obviously bomb whenever it comes. 'Finish Line' was incredible.

She does seem to still be uploading stuff onto her Youtube channel, like this for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDMs8Bd-pp4

I would prefer for James Arthur to get #1 this week. Lorde grates on me a bit but I wouldn't complain if 'Counting Stars' got there either.

Urgh HORRIFIC top 2 on iTunes! Not sure which song I hate the most - Lorde or James.
If only like the other male winners he would performe on the x factor he would got the top spot. Shame.

He probably doesn't need the help though, as much as people think he does. Unless none of you have noticed he's at #2 already... He is performing next week, though.

Lorde- 100%

James- 84.61%

Union J- up to no.7 45.92% good for them

caught up b 4% in the last two hours so unlikely to hit number 1 today

Well to be fair the whole thing does seem SLIGHTLY pretentious and not particularly due to the song either. She's been in artist development for a long time (since she was 12!) and Royals does shout like someone high up at the record label heard it and said that he wanted it to be a hit, hence why it feels as if it's been shoved down everyone's throats. It doesn't really feel as if she has much longevity in her.

Hm, she seems pretty switched on to me, I think the album has been kinda rushed because the record label obviously wanted to cash-in on the surprising success of "Royals" in the US (the first solo female artist to top the 'alternative' chart there since "Hand in My Pocket" Alanis Morissette in 1995).

The song itself though is decent. I mean lyrics like: "But every song's like gold teeth, grey goose, trippin' in the bathroom" and "We don't care, we aren't caught up in your love affair" are something a bit different, she's moaning about the state of popular music and songs in the charts - I like that. Makes a change to have something like this at #1.

Perhaps. I enjoy the grey goose line. But there really is something about her and her music that I just don't like.

I wonder how much Lorde and James Arthur will sell this week. Maybe just over 100k for Lorde seeing as it went to #1 at midday?

Cyril Hahn is by far the best song out this week but obviously it's not gonna touch the Top 100 cos it's too much of an 'underground' track I guess.

I would have liked James Arthur to get #1 over Lorde but I love both songs :)

I havent even heard the top two. OOPS. Little Nikki should be higher, now that is a jam.

'Little Nikki Says' is a big guilty pleasure for me. Quite shocked at how badly it's doing, I've heard it loads on Capital.

Union J  #5, Showtek  #7. Did 'Carry You' get top 5 on iTunes? I assume it did but can't remember.

Sadly looks like Lorde's #1 isn't particularly safe at all as James is currently increasing faster than her (shut up Calum I WILL ban you :hitler:) Hopefully James should be relatively frontloaded though, Lorde will definitely far outsell him in the long run.

My ears perked up at 'Little Nikki' but then I realised it was actually 'Little Jackie' that sang "The World Should Revolve Around Me". :(
