4- INFINITY 2008- Guru Josh Project (28,925)

^ I loved that song when it came out. Must be a couple of years since I last listened to/heard it though.

And a year ago since the unimaginable happened. JME at #3 in the UK singles chart.

"Ghostbusters re-entered at 63 with "The Monster Mash" at 75 last year as well. It's getting like Christmas with the same few records getting a boost each year.

"State Of Mind" by the queen Holly <3 Definitely my fav song out of all the retros here. She was ahead of the trends with her 2nd album

If iTunes discount all the Halloween songs one year (like they did with the Christmas songs) then maybe some could go top 40.

I listened to Down Boy a few weeks ago. It has such a good beat.

Oh great, this is time wasting. The tracks are going to get played again later.
If they've cut the show down to 110 minutes today, why waste the first 5 with this recap of songs they're going to play again in under 2 hours? Surely they could have just read out the midweek top 3 positions?
The top 3 could look totally different than in the Wednesday midweeks :o

Biography

Vocalist Lana Del Rey makes atmospheric, orchestral, retro-'60s-sounding pop that showcases her torchy image and sensuous singing style. A native of Lake Placid, New York, Del Rey released the single "Kill Kill" under her given name, Lizzy Grant, in 2009 before remaking herself into the pop femme fatale character Lana Del Rey. A video for the single "Video Games" appeared online in August of 2011 and drew considerable buzz, as did a secret show she performed at Brooklyn's Grasslands Gallery that September. Del Rey's EP, featuring the songs "Video Games" and "Blue Jeans," was released in fall 2011. Amidst a heavy dose of hype, her debut album Born to Die was announced by Interscope for release early the following year. Del Rey cemented the anticipation around the album with an appearance on Saturday Night Live, becoming the first artist since Natalie Imbruglia in 1998 to perform on the show before the release of her debut album. Born to Die hit number one in several European countries, reached number two on the U.S. charts, and eventually sold several million copies worldwide. By the end of 2012, Del Rey had released her next work, a mini-album titled Paradise, with a trailer single called "Ride." - iTunes

1 Count On Me (feat. Moko)

Biography

Chase & Status — consisting of drum'n'bass DJs Saul Milton and Will Kennard — earned their stripes after remixing the rather questionable Capleton track "Duppy Man" to success in 2005. From there the duo had a few hit club singles — in 2007 with the double A-sided "Hurt You" b/w "Sell Me Your Soul" and 2008's "Take Me Away" — that hit the top of the U.K. dance and club charts. A full-length was finally released in 2008. Entitled More Than Alot, it featured appearances from Kano, Takura, and Digga, and was well-received critically; it won a 2009 Drum and Bass Award for best album. From there, Milton and Kennard dipped their toes into more pop-oriented production; "End Credits," a 2009 single featuring Plan B, entered the U.K. Top Ten and led to the 2011 album No More Idols, which featured collaborations with Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah, and Cee-Lo Green. Spending 35 weeks in the U.K. Top 40, No More Idols went on to earn a double-platinum status. At the beginning 2012 the duo were nominated for Best British Group at the prestigious Brit Awards — a first for a drum 'n' bass outfit — yet were beaten to the gong by Coldplay. Not resting on their laurels, the duo spent 2012 playing live dates at festivals across the U.K. and Europe, including a sub-headline slot at the metal festival Download. As a thank you to fans for their support, the festival favorite "Big Man" — featuring vocals from Liam Bailey — was released at the end of 2012. In 2013, the duo released the single "Lost and Found" featuring Louis Ma^ttrs in preparation for their third studio album Brand New Machine which was slated for release later that year. ~ Chris True & Rich Wilson, Rovi / iTunes
