I didn't realise Don't Wanna Go Home was so hated! I don't think it's that bad. I mean Talk Dirty and Trumpets are both 100 times worse, along with Wiggle being truly abysmal.

I really like Jason as an artist actually, I even quite liked Don't Wanna Go Home and Talk Dirty was in my end of year top 30 last year, plus Whatcha Say is one of my favourite male R&B tracks ever  There are no words to describe how absolutely horrendous Wiggle is though, seriously. I just knew it would take off though...
Don't Wanna Go Home was terrible, such lazy use of a sample. Wiggle has that guilty pleasure appeal to me though, plus the icon that is Snoop Dogg rapping *.*
I don't think you can see Wiggle as anything over than novelty tbh. When not comparing it to serious songs it becomes a whole lot better. Trumpets on the other hand had no comedic value at all and was truly absymal.
I find Jason Derulo very average and miss. Never hit. I honestly don't understand where he's found such longevity. What exactly is the wide appeal? Because he's never really had a 'great' single.

Oh T-Boy :( His début era begs to differ! :o (well for me anyway haha) Such a flawless campaign! It's a shame his weakest track from that era was his first number 1, but that was when we were coming out of the RedOne era, so whatevs. 'Ridin Solo' still gets the crowds going in clubs and stuff!

Edit: Ooh a full discussion on Jason Derulo, here on Buzzjack??! When will your faves *.*

Yeah, Ridin' Solo still is a big song. And Talk Dirty is a sixth form anthem.
I really think he got it perfectly right with the singles from his first album and indeed most of the album was prefectly good d-grade r&b pop. It's just that after that everything seems to have been getting progressively less and less inspired and more and more tuneless.
ThisWiggle hate :(
I don't get it either I think it's a banger ! :D I'm suprised it's doing so well though but Jason song's have a habit of doing better I expect them to .

Ridin' Solo was my 2nd favourite chart hit of 2010, so that was a "great" single in my eyes.

He is quite hit and miss for me though. I love Whatcha Say, Wiggle, Talk Dirty. It Girl, What If and Trumpets are okay as well. But some like In My Head I didn't like.

I was just about to post the fact Jason Derulo is top 10 with Wiggle (really  )...looks like I've been beaten to it

Heard this on the radio this morning, turned it off after about 30 seconds...words cannot describe how diabolical this record is its everything I hate and more :puke:

I'm hoping Sam Smith, Clean Bandit and Klingande can go top 10 tomorrow and push this Derulo mess out of the top 10!!!!

Klingande don't release 'Jubel' until May 25th. :kink: I really like 'Wiggle' for some reason, it's just so catchy!

Oops! I only realised that after I'd posted it, I meant to say Fuse ODG but I hate that record too but at least its infinetly more bearable than Wiggle!

10. Jason Derulo - Wiggle (feat. Snoop Dogg)

18. Katy Perry - Birthday

37. Zedd - Clarity (feat. Foxes)

43. Little Mix - Salute

47. John Newman - Losing Sleep (Disciples Remix)

54. Conchita Wurst - Rise Like a Phoenix

60. Disclosure & Friend Within - The Mechanism

105. Rival Sons - Good Things

108. Kylie Minogue - I Was Gonna Cancel

'Salute' so close to the top 40! The tour kicking off has probably helped it from falling through the weekend! Hopefully it'll be in a safe position for it to feature in next weeks (T40 obvz) chart!

The chorus of Wiggle is funny

Edit: but this is even more funny

Even if they do push it out the top 10, it'll definitely get back in. It's already top 10 on iTunes with very little airplay and no music video, so it's not like it's close to peaking.

I feel like Wiggle was made purely for Vine. Anyone who regularly uses it will know exactly what I mean.

Definitely! Its use has probably contributed quite a bit to its rapid climb.
