Against a song that has been out for 3 weeks and sold the lowest amount for a number 1 single so far in 2014. Not that impressive really.
That's true, but I'm still pleased it's looking set to open with over 100k as I had hoped.

What a horrible post :(
Sorry! But I really don't get the hype with this one. :(

I agree about Extraordinary, it's a terrible song in comparison to their other stuff. The chorus sounds like cheesy 90s pop. It's incomparable to their earlier stuff, such as Rather Be, Rihanna, Dust Clears and A+E.
There isn't any, quite frankly.

What about the GRIFF HYPE?

In all seriousness, this song isn't going to do too badly - Rather Be was a fluke and connected with a lot of people - it's great to see that they haven't tried to rip it off and get another big hit because it really reflects that they just want to make good music, which they are. And also it's my favourite song at the moment so people talking about it as it should be discarded because it only peaked at #8 or whatever is a bit :(

I can tell this is going to be my LOON BREAKDOWN.

Have you seen them live yet Tom?

They were really good fun at Latitude last summer!

I really want to, if they have some dates in autumn/winter I'm there.

I find 'Extraordinary' so cringeworthy whenever I hear it - I think due to the video which features the most awkward back-seat-of-an-open-top-car swaying/'dancing' since Rebecca Black's 'Friday' video.
 #1440 Chromeo & Solange - Lost On the Way Home (feat. Solange)

Chromeo has a generic disco-ish song out atm called Jealous which I could see being a chart hit.

I doubt it considering it's had lots of Radio 2 airplay yet still hasn't smashed.

Does anyone know roughly how much the #400 single on iTunes sells in a week? If #100 is about 3,000, would #400 be about 1,000?

Less because #100 is less than 2,000 these days.

You're not alone Griff! I love 'Extraordinary', was a lot more instant than 'Rather Be' was. Not too sure why so many people dislike it, to me it doesn't sound that different to anything they've done before.

SO GLAD that I'm not the only one who noticed this  I find the singer so awkward during the whole video but that scene most of all!

Extraordinary isn't even that bad! Only problem is that the song is rather unextraordinary in comparison to Rather Be  I think it's got a very aesthetically pleasing video and I didn't notice any awkward backseat car dancing til pointed out. Although you can tell it's gonna be one of those songs that sells mainly on the basis of being 'the follow up to *insert big hit here*' like Martin Garrix with Wizard.

I agree, I really don't get the 'hate' for Extraordinary?!

I don't think its as great as Mozarts House but its miles better than Dust Clears and it sounds really different against anything else out at the moment but I love this band and can't wait for the album to drop

I don't 'hate' it at all btw :P. I just find it a bit of a non-event as a song and quite a bit dull, especially following 'Rather Be'! I thought it was initial disappointment, as with most follow ups to major hit songs, but the more I play it the more tired I get of it and it just won't click with me for whatever reason. (Up until today I saw a lot more love hype for it on here than I did for those who vocally expressed their dislike of it.)
