The original vocals are much better, but still I adore this
Claúdia Leitte must be the first Brazilian act to enter the UK top 40 in ages. Even Michel Teló limped at #60, I think.

Aggro Santos of 2 top 10 hits and another minor top 20 hit in 2010-11 fame was born in Brazil (though generally considered to be British).

Interesting that this never re-enters during Euro tournaments, seeing as it was No.1 during Euro '98! I much prefer the 1998 version as I mentioned somewhere yesterday, the vocals on the original sound a little weedy in parts in comparison. Fantastic song anyway.

It *just* missed out on re-entering the top 75 in 2012 (#77). And I think England didn't qualify in 2008 or something? That's what I was told IIRC when I wondered why it didn't re-enter then this time two years ago :P

Will this or Rule The World be the 150th million seller though? :o

I hope 'Rather Be' gets the 150th million seller.

Biography

Kasabian (/kəˈseɪbiən/ kə-SAY-bee-ən) are an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997. The band's original members consisted of vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and backing vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, guitarist Christopher Karloff, and bassist Chris Edwards. The band's line-up was completed by drummer Ian Matthews in 2004 after a string of session drummers. Jay Mehler joined as touring lead guitarist in 2006. Mehler left the band for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye in 2013.

Kasabian have released four studio albums – Kasabian (2004), Empire (2006), West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum (2009), and Velociraptor! (2011). The band's fifth studio album, 48:13, is set to be released on 9 June 2014, with single "eez-eh" released in April in Europe and then in their native UK on 1 June 2014. The band's music has been described as a mix between The Stone Roses and Primal Scream with the swagger of Oasis. Their music has won them several awards and recognition in the media, including a Brit Award in 2010 for Best British Group, and their live performances are generally lauded. - Wikipedia

Great to see 'eez-eh' not dropping much in its second week (I'm sure it'll start plummeting now though :P)
Wait, did they just say "Now we're being watched by Google"
