Today's chart presenter on Radio 1: Jameela Jamil
hat was that song that played on Radio 1 just before the chart started? It was rather good.

Nero apparently.

Nero's Satisfy.

Not with this he doesn't.

Or anything for that matter.

They mentioned Ed Sheeran as a 'new entry' which presumably refers to the re-entry of 'One' so probably only 4 new entries from 5SOS, George Ezra, Gorgon City and Demi Lovato. Poor The Kooks in that case! They must be ~#41.

Biography

Rather than the usual bombast or snooze-inducing "relaxation music," the U.K. six-piece known as Clean Bandit mash classical music and pop forms for an airy and dreamy yet driven sound that's like the chamber music version of house music. The core four-piece of the group were known as the Chatto Quartet, a classically trained string quartet that performed J.S. Bach and cited Jacqueline du Pré as an influence, but their post-show, wind-down music often consisted of garage, two-step, Craig David, and Arcade Fire tracks. The quartet members were aware of both producer Jon Wandeck and MC Ssegamic through the duo's work in photography, and when Wandeck suggested they play on one of his house music cuts, Clean Bandit were born. With MC Ssegamic on the mike, they released the classical-meets-house-meets-hip-hop-meets-heartbreak song "Telephone Banking" in the summer of 2011. Their Dance Armstrong mixtape followed in 2012, while 2013 saw the release of their Mozart's House EP. - iTunes

So sad to see this dropping out so quickly, it is incredible :(
Looks like this is 'Extraordinary's last week top 40 then, shame it was so short-lived after the smash that was 'Rather Be'.

Noooooooo, 'Around Town' is so much better than 'Down'. :( It's very Hard-Fi!

Absolutely love Extraordinary now, took its time to grow but really hit me over the past couple of weeks!

Biography

Although the first solo single from soul-inspired, London-born artist Sam Smith was issued in early 2013, it was his soaring vocal contribution to Disclosure's October 2012 U.K. garage track "Latch" which brought him to most people's attention. For most of his teens, Smith balanced study with music, soaking in the raw and passionate approach to performance exemplified by his favorite artists at that time such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. "Latch" hit the upper reaches of the U.K. singles chart when Smith was 21, and many were surprised when his debut solo track took a more tempered path. The production on February 2013's "Lay Me Down" — also courtesy of the ordinarily dancefloor-focused duo Disclosure — recalled the stripped-back material that had proved successful for Adele in the preceding years. Next, Shahid Khan — aka Naughty Boy — decided to follow his Emeli Sandé-fronted U.K. Top Ten hit "Wonder" with the infectious, Bollywood sample-driven "La La La." Featuring Smith's powerful lead vocal, it became an instant May 2013 U.K. number one single following his spring tour in support of Sandé. - iTunes

Album Discussion Here

Would have preferred this to have swapped with The Kooks, vile song, worst #1 of the year
