'Ghost' is back up to #13 and with 4 new releases ahead of it, it would've been back at #9 if it wasn't for them! It's use on the X Factor has had a great effect. :D

Oh and not a fan of the G.R.L song either :( Obviously sweet message but the chorus just falls flat for me and the lyrics are a bit cringe in places.

I thought exactly this when I first heard it but I can safely say I love it now. It's another one of those "it will grow on you" songs.

I think I'd prefer Lily to stay at #1, can't really get into the Duke song & The Script's track isn't worthy of going top 3 so yeah team Lily for me as well

I wonder if The Script could get a surprise #1 this week? They're gaining on Duke Dumont and will likely hold up much better than him over the week. Hope not as 'Superheroes' is much weaker than both 'Prayer In C' and 'Won't Look Back' (and I want Duke Dumont to get a third #1 though wouldn't mind a second week for Lilly Wood).

A bit reminiscent of the week 'This Ain't A Love Song' went to #1, with a song that most expected to get #1 ('She Said'/'Won't Look Back') possibly ending at #3 behind the previous week's #1 ('Telephone'/'Prayer In C') and a song that no one really considered as a contender ('This Ain't A Love Song'/'Superheroes'). And as I said in the chart show thread 'Superheroes' sounds like a Scouting For Girls song as well. :P

Ferreck Dawn seems to have dropped a lot already (down to #30), looking very unlikely to make the top 40 :( Could have had both Danaelanda and Ethanola picking up post-BJSC top 40 $ma$he$. At least 'Pushing On' should quite easily make it.

Jessica Mauboy is back in the UK iTunes chart once again!

431. Jessica Mauboy - Who's Loving You

When will your non top 431 faves?! *.*

Love her cover, better than the original imo <3 One of my fave films too. I love that there are a few people who heard that Italian guy on X-Factor and decided they must download Jessica Mauboy's cover from The Sapphires

I'm not a particular fan of theirs either and the song is a bit juvenile for my tastes, but it's nice to see a girl group doing well especially as some people keep claiming that girl groups are just doomed to flop. :teresa:

Anything that sells more copies of Ghost is welcomed.

Duke Dumont will have a hefty lead in the first mids IMO with all the weeks of preorders!

I wouldn't be so sure, it will be a tough lead for The Script to beat but i dont think its sales are going to be that impressive

Can't believe Superheroes has overtaken Prayer In C. Its such a bland and boring track not that I'm a big Script fan anyway

Shame to see Love Too Deep down to 31, it needs a radio edit version as well I think but it's looking likely to miss the top 40 I fear!

I really hope The Script don't overtake Duke. They're in the Live Lounge this week. I think Script are on tomorrow and Duke on Friday so hopefully if Script increase sales mid week then Won't Look Back will hopefully benefit from the weekend effect and hold on till Sunday

I really think the pre orders will be alot for Duke as its been hanging around quite a while we will have to see though!
Considering GRL are not even top 40 in airplay, Ugly Heart is doing fantastically well. Similar case of Nicole's problem that lots of people who heard it loved it and wanted to buy it, but that was only a select group. I expect it to drop quite quickly.

So being TOTD on Radio 1 is doing NAFF all for Ella Eyre ('Comeback'), whilst it benefits so many other songs which are vastly inferior!? WHYYYYYYY? :(

Currently at #1287 - but it's been in and out the top 1500 all day and only re-enters after it's been played :(

For whatever reason, the public just don't seem to care about Ella (bar Waiting All Night of course). It's a shame cos she has an INCREDIBLE voice.

I love Comeback but I'm not sure her image in the video is really connecting properly. It's all quite full on and aggressive, and with the likes of Adele, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran dominating, aggression is rarely successful in pop music these days.
Yay at Blame It On Me climbing back up + Iron Sky too. Hope both can hold top 40 Sunday. Both fabulous followups.

Blame it on Me is being helped by it being on an ITV ad!

Is Pulled Apart by Horses new single doing anything?

Wow... The Script so close to take that #1, never expected that, the track has really taken off, to be honest I didn't think they get another #1 after Hall Of Fame. Didn't see this coming...
Wouldn't be too concerned just yet, Duke should have a somewhat substantial headstart which may be asking a bit too much to overcome, well that's what I'm hoping anyway!
I don't see what everyone's problem with The Script is. 'Superheroes' is quite a good MOR pop song and is going down well with the majority of the public at the moment and is getting some good airplay. Obviously I'm team Duke Dumont this week for Number 1 as I personally prefer 'Won't Look Back', but I do like 'Superheroes'. :)
