November 26, 201411 yr 31 Mary J Blige - The London Sessions * THANK God! Album of the year for me  Edited November 26, 201411 yr by Simon.
November 26, 201411 yr does anybody have a position for The Hanging Tree? #29 - it is included in the update!
November 26, 201411 yr Bizarre non of the reissue albums seem to be doing anything- Beyonce, Clean Bandit, Roger Daltry/Wilko Johnson etc
November 26, 201411 yr What a rubbish top 5! These Days really is the only decent song in the top 5 imo. Would still prefer Wrapped Up above Jealous though :P
November 26, 201411 yr How do you EVEN pre-order a single from ASDA. I go to one sometimes and they have a hard time keeping bread on the shelves, and as for changing a soda stream gas canister...I pretty much guarantee if I went in and said I want to pre-order a CD single they'd look at me like I was nuts! I know, online, but would you pre-order with shipping costs...I don't know, seems wrong. Those so-called "pre-orders" are obviously what Asda themselves have ordered in! Whether they sell so many is another matter. Maybe by Christmas Eve but not the first week! Wonder how many Tesco has ordered. Was at customer services in our Tesco Extra today returning something and heard several people wanting to buy the CD and the staff didn't seem to know when it would be out. November 26, 201411 yr 3 Olly Murs feat. Travie McCoy - Wrapped Up (23.9k) 1 Olly Murs - Never Been Better (50.7k) * 2 One Direction - FOUR (25.7k) Knew rumours of Olly's demise by some on here were premature! Good sales for the current sales climate! Olly Murs number 1 in the albums is great new too, i am happy enough with his sales as he will increase sales in the coming weeks. All his previous albums have managed to sell outside the 4th quarter and have had longevity on the charts and i suspect this will follow that pattern. Yeah I think with one album he went over 100k three weeks in a row, he'll get alot of Christmas present sales yet again no doubt. Plus Up will help maintain sales when it's released next month.
November 27, 201411 yr With the ASDA pre's thing I hope TT is #1 this week but the week after it will depend on what is XF the week after as to whether or not I will want it to be #1 or not :P No doubt it will be XFWS as I can't see what tough competition there is for that week. Band Aid/These Days are definitely not getting there again   Edited November 27, 201411 yr by SNOWING ADAM

Plus Up will help maintain sales when it's released next month. He's sold over 100k for the first 3 weeks for all 3 of his albums (non-repackaged). Even though I'm not an Olly fan, it will be a shame to see that trend potentially stop this time.

Even though I'm not an Olly fan, it will be a shame to see that trend potentially stop this time. I never knew that, that's really impressive :o I was sure you were wrong because his début didn't get a great total for an album that went Platinum in 3 weeks but I googled and it's true. Looks unlikely he'll get even 1 week over 100k with this one though. Maybe Christmas week.

Looks unlikely he'll get even 1 week over 100k with this one though. Maybe Christmas week. I remember his debut had huge sales for those three weeks. Wasn't the chart run like 2, 3, 4 or something and then suddenly the next week it was out of the top 10? Still managed to sell over 700K though. I really miss chartstats at times like this. :( What a great site that was.

Not as well-organised as chartstats but it is good enough for this request. His initial run was: 2-3-5-4-11-19...

November 27, 201411 yr Olly has an ITV special A Night In With Olly Murs in December, but I don't think an exact date is confirmed yet. That will help his sales massively.
November 27, 201411 yr Whether Olly reaches 100,000 or not this week, he will still in my belief manage a double platinum album minimum. Four albums into his career and coming from X Factor where most acts end up forgotten about he has carved out a great career. All his albums have sold extremely well, his repackaged version last year managed platinum status in its own right, he also has had a few big hit singles in that time as well. He will be around for a while to come.

Yeh these are usually on on xmas chart week (after the XF final and during that week. Theres usually a few more programmes like them such as Christmas with Michael Buble etc and they usually do the trick. If theres an artist with both this and an appearence in the XF final they are sure to be xmas No1 album!
