So if iTunes data is missing does that mean the gap between the #1 and #2 could be different?

Is Cheek to Cheek top 100? Thanks in advance~

I don't recall seeing a C2C request last week

So does that mean Band Aid could still be in the lead?
The #1 album sales have been below 10k precisely once this decade and even that was still over 9k :P

Out of curiosity what was this album?

Rihanna's 'Talk That Talk', in its 38th week on sale. There was not a single new entry to the top 40 that week (the highest was a live album by Antony And The Johnsons at #41, then there was only one other new entry in the entire top 100) and there were no big albums out in the previous weeks, with the previous #1 album being Conor Maynard's 'Contrast' which had a pretty pathetic tally for a #1 itself. Things get bad on the albums chart fairly often of course but this was a particularly grim week which I don't see becoming the norm any time soon.

Singles sales/positions look ok, so I think it's just albums affected.

I KNEW this Band Aid would flop!

Maybe people are gonna wait till 14 December to buy that song so it can stop X Factor getting Xmas no.1

Hurrah for Years & Years + Kiesza! :cheer:

Can I confess that I'm toying with the idea of buying a physical copy of Band Aid 30 in it's 2nd week. i.e. the week it'll no doubt be up against the X Factor for Xmas #1.

I've downloaded a copy of "Africa Stop Ebola" by Collectif Africa Stop Ebola, a few days back.

I've read it's sung by well known African musicians to raise awareness and also funds for MSF "Medecins Sans Frontieres"

Wow wasn't expecting Take That to be number one on the first update, even with pre orders! No wonder Bob Geldof was begging people to keep buying the track on Monday!!

I never thought I'd say this but I really hope Olly can stay at number one on the albums!!

He's outselling 1D 2 to 1, there's no way he's not going to be #1 :P

Hmm...

I never thought I'd say this but I really hope Ed can hold on to the top spot on the album chart and stop 1D getting the biggest album of 2014....

I sense a subtle anti-1D agenda emerging :o

Take That selling about 58% of Clean Bandit's Tuesday sale last week (assuming these figures are right) suggests a bit of a disappointing 47.5K weekly sale. Can't be right though? Can it?
If Apple's data is missing that may be why David Guetta is so low, that's going to shift more digital then physical copies
Does anyone know where's Cheryl's I Don't Care and Sam Smith's Stay With Me please? :P

#17 for Cheryl and #29 for Sam.

Indeed, 'Listen' is #3 on iTunes - higher than Olly!

I'm guessing iTunes data is only missing from Monday as the newly released albums have been hit much harder than everything else. That'll include all of their pre-orders in that case, so Olly's album could actually be on quite a bit more than 33k.
Olly's sales seem low given his promo budget mut have been massive.
Oh. I forgot you existed. Should have guessed you'd be around with your pessimism in regards to Olly whenever he's releasing new material. Give it a rest love.

Glad to see he's number 1 and quite a nice, healthy lead too! I'm thinking he will sell more in the long run (as always) and especially with his show next month! Hopefully he'll manage to hit 100k sales in a week at some point, no problem if not as I do think he'll sell fairly consistently after the initial "second week drop" in sales.

Hope Take That can hold on too and very pleased to see Band Aid 30 off the number 1 spot fairly soon (at least for now!).

I totally underestimated Olly Murs's selling power, how silly of me. I didn't realise he was quite a sales powerhouse (say what you will about the sales being a bit lower then in the past, but we all know sales are down and 30k+ in just over a day in this climate is amazing). Good for him having longevity.

And on the flip side, I TOTALLY over estimated David Guetta. I expected top 5 minimum :o
