November 27, 201411 yr Thanks a bunch Bre! With that gap, if Take That overtake Band Aid tonight + and with the boost Graham Norton usually gives, I think Take That will take the #1 Hopefully 7/11 can make the top 30 come Sunday!
November 27, 201411 yr TT have caught up by 100 sales *.* Graham Norton should give them a decent boost but they really ought to go out and do some last minute promo elsehwere. They're SO close and they'll be lucky to have a shot at getting another No.1 single again in the future.
November 27, 201411 yr @JAMESINREHAB: Take That’s first release as a three piece is the most pre-ordered album of all time on http://t.co/CscLUiZgZC @takethat @JAMESINREHAB: Take That now have 3 albums in the all-time top 10 albums for pre-order sales. More than any other acts. @takethat @GaryBarlow I wouldn't be surprised if they were store pre-orders (like amazon pre-ordering a lot of copies) because of how well Take That's albums have done and that their last album sold over 500k copies in the first week. However, I don't think it's the biggest pre-order of all time in terms of people actually pre-ordering the album.
November 27, 201411 yr Take That have gained very slightly on Band Aid 30 (less than 100 copies), but as they have promo coming up, BA30 will continue to drop and the gap is still very small, 'These Days' looks like it's headed for #1 after all to me. Olly Murs has closed in on both of them by a bit over 2k but he'll need to pull much further ahead to have any chance of closing the existing gap in 3 days. Of course if BA30 get another sales boost somehow they could still be in with a chance so the #1 is not exactly clear-cut. Ed Sheeran's album sold more than Olly's yesterday :drama: Olly looks set to do 80-90k for the week though (it sold 8k yesterday, so if it does 8k again for the last 3 days that'll put it on ~83k and his sales will likely be higher at the weekend anyway) which isn't bad by any means. And Beyoncé's EP has now correctly shown up in the album chart, hooray! The full platinum edition is being combined but obviously isn't selling that well as the album is a re-entry in the low top 60.
November 27, 201411 yr Author Even though they're still hugely relevant in the album chart, I'm so shocked at the prospect of Take That getting the #1 single this week! I suppose they're just still more popular with a younger audience than I thought, but when you compare that to how Boyzone currently are and how Westlife were before they split, it's quiet surprising.
November 27, 201411 yr Thanks Bre for sorting out the mids, had my hands full :drama: Looks like TT are going to get #1 after all, to be honest I didn't think they get there. They could do the double the week after with the album release. :drama: Olly seems to be doing well.

I must admit I agree, after The Flood missed number 1 (admittedly out of poor timing for promotion), I wasn't sure they'd ever get one again, especially now they've lost two members since last time, but it looks like it's theirs for the taking now unless Band Aid gets a weekend boost from somewhere.
November 27, 201411 yr Take That are just so near, i dont want them to miss out, now that they are so close.
November 27, 201411 yr Wrapped Up looking set to stay at #3 in the singles chart. And Never Been Better is surely gonna be #1 in the albums this week! :cheer: Hope Ed can overtake 1D in the albums. :kink:
November 27, 201411 yr Take That are truly awful, Gary Barlow especially is one of the worst human beings ever.

November 27, 201411 yr Author To be honest, the problem with most threads and forums about being off-topic, in a real life conversation talking about something which leads to another topic and another you wouldn't just tell them they're going off topic would you? That is usually took into consideration by mods, it's only if it's totally irrelevant that you'd be asked to take it elsewhere. Jack's comment about Take That being awful may not directly be about the charts but it's an opinion based on the fact they're likely to go to #1 this weekend.
