December 7, 201411 yr Could there be a chance Taylor is number 1 on single sales this week? #4 is pretty high for a song with no streams at all. (oops forgot that Union J didn't have streams either!) Edited December 7, 201411 yr by FrostytheWallaby
December 7, 201411 yr 11 for The Pogues/Kirsty. Had it on Now 10 - on vinyl ha! I think its the only instance of a Christmas song being on a proper Now album? Yes, the only proper one unless you count stuff like 'Stay Another Day' and the cover version of 'The Power Of Love'. I don't, and even less I count the dance remix of 'The Power Of Love' that was on Now 46 in the summer.

The original line-up also featured Jason Orange and Robbie Williams. Barlow acts as the group's lead singer and primary songwriter. Owen and Williams would provide backing vocals, with Donald and Orange serving primarily as dancers. In total, the group have had 27 top 40 singles and 16 top 5 singles in the United Kingdom alone, 11 of which have reached number 1, as well as having seven number 1 albums. Internationally the band have had 54 number one hits and 35 number-one albums. Robbie Williams left the band in 1995 while the four remaining members completed their world tour and released a final single before splitting up in 1996. After filming a 2005 documentary about the group and releasing a new greatest hits album, a four-piece Take That without Williams officially announced a 2006 reunion tour around the UK, entitled The Ultimate Tour. On 9 May 2006, it was announced that the group were set to record new material together once again; their fourth studio album, Beautiful World, was released in 2006 and was followed up with The Circus, in 2008. The group achieved new success as a four-piece, scoring a string of chart hits across the UK and Europe while taking the number of records sold to 45 million worldwide. Williams rejoined Take That in 2010 for the band's sixth studio album, Progress. It was released on 15 November of that year and became the fastest selling album of the 21st century and the second fastest selling album in British history, whilst also making it the first album of new material to feature Take That's original line-up since their 1995 album, Nobody Else. Since 2011, Take That have set the new record for the fastest selling tour of all time in the UK with Progress Live, beating the previous record set by their Circus Live Tour in 2009, won the BRIT Award for Best British Group, and were named as Amazon's top-selling music artist of all time. In 2012, the band were announced by Forbes as the fifth highest-earning music stars in the world. In the same year, the Official Charts Company revealed the biggest selling singles artists in British music chart history with Take That currently placed at 15th overall, making them the most successful boy band in UK chart history. - Wikipedia Chart history (Year peak title): 1991 38 Promises -1- 1992 47 Once You've Tasted Love -2- 1992 07 It Only Takes A Minute -3- 1992 15 I Found Heaven -4- 1992 07 A Million Love Songs -5- 1992 03 Could It Be Magic -6- 1993 02 Why Can't I Wake Up With You? -1- 1993 01 Pray -2- 1993 01 Relight My Fire (Take That Feat. December 7, 201411 yr Actually surprised UJ have held into top 2 thought Take That or Taylor may have knocked then down
December 7, 201411 yr Why can't they ever get the stats right. 12 number 1s and 7 number 1 albums Radio 1!
December 7, 201411 yr WD mums for getting Take That a #1 album :cheer: These Days is quite good, definitely feels weird that this is a #1 single when The Flood and Rule The World only made #2
December 7, 201411 yr Solid track from the eternal TT. Just hope they have few more decent Singles charting from the album.
December 7, 201411 yr Actually surprised UJ have held into top 2 thought Take That or Taylor may have knocked then down Selling the physical single for 49p in 200+ Morrisons stores really helped them - Think they would have been #3 otherwise
December 7, 201411 yr Solid track from the eternal TT. Just hope they have few more decent Singles charting from the album. Get Ready For It could be a good single for them, especially with the exposure of being the closing song on the new film Kingsman
December 7, 201411 yr Has Union J flopped at getting the #1 spot yet? It hasn't been announced but I very much doubt they'll go to #1, Ed's lead on them has been increasing in the midweeks ever since he overtook. Will be interesting as to whether they can get the sales #1 though
December 7, 201411 yr Phew @ Kiesza making the top forty with 'Sound Of A Woman', obviously it deserves to be considerably higher!
