January 4, 201511 yr Some people have placed the boring/MOR stamp on it but at least TMTC has more substance than the Ed Sheeran drivel. Quite. It's a really lyrically deep and excellently written song, just because it's a ballad, doesn't automatically make it on the same level as The Script/Ed Sheeran/Sam Smith. January 4, 201511 yr Gosh, this is horrible. It's not even boring as such like the All Of Me / Stay With Me male singer/songwriter stuff, it's just really unpleasant to listen to. The guys tone sounds so angry and in your face, it's just... yeah, unpleasant and quite uncomfortable to listen to as weird as that sounds. Really thought we'd escaped this being a success when it was lingering around #30 for weeks on end.

January 4, 201511 yr I wonder if this could end up doing a Passenger after all, it's still gaining on iTunes and renewed R1 airplay could keep that momentum going along with its continuing dominance of streaming. Wonderful to see it finally top 10 anyway.
