In all honesty, most of Outside's top 10 weeks didn't even happen on sales :P

True, but thankfully streaming has benefited a song I love for a change  so it's still a shame to see it leave

Does anyone not like Hozier? All I ever hear about on here now lol.

Can't say I know who he is!

Album Discussion Here

Very pleased to see Hozier in the Top 10. 'Take Me To Church' has grown on me a lot since I first heard it. :)
Some people have placed the boring/MOR stamp on it but at least TMTC has more substance than the Ed Sheeran drivel.

Quite. It's a really lyrically deep and excellently written song, just because it's a ballad, doesn't automatically make it on the same level as The Script/Ed Sheeran/Sam Smith.

YAY for Hozier though, this will be a track I will muchly enjoy sticking around in 2015 :D

Gosh, this is horrible. It's not even boring as such like the All Of Me / Stay With Me male singer/songwriter stuff, it's just really unpleasant to listen to. The guys tone sounds so angry and in your face, it's just... yeah, unpleasant and quite uncomfortable to listen to as weird as that sounds. Really thought we'd escaped this being a success when it was lingering around #30 for weeks on end.

Go on Take me to Church always knew it would go down as a massive hit eventually. Expect radio 1 to A list this on Wed now :teresa: !!

Sales must be low as he wasn't top 10 on iTunes - hopefully his graham norton performance can push It top 5 now!!

This song is amazing - so deep and thoughtful. Very chuffed it is top 10.
I wonder if this could end up doing a Passenger after all, it's still gaining on iTunes and renewed R1 airplay could keep that momentum going along with its continuing dominance of streaming. Wonderful to see it finally top 10 anyway.
Yes Yes Yes well done Hozier  What a surprise at this going top ten  Love it.... thanks to streaming
Like being ranted at by a preacher...

YES, I was actually struggling to find how to describe it and kept using the word 'unpleasant' but this is actually spot on as to how it feels.

Take Me To Church took a LONG time to hit me but it really has now, so glad to see it so high

Biography

Alessandro Lindblad, more commonly known as Alesso, was a DJ and dance music producer from Stockholm, Sweden. His career quickly gained mainstream recognition for his remixes of Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia, and Avicii, as well as his own productions. His first major achievement was in 2011 when his remix of Nadia Ali's track "Pressure" was one of the most successful EDM tracks of the year. Later in the same year, he placed in DJ Mag's Top 100 list, debuting at number 70. Early 2012 started well for him also, when he was named one of MTV's "one to watch," making his first BBC Radio 1 essential mix, and earning the track of the year award on Zane Lowe's prime-time Radio 1 slot for the single "Calling (Lose My Mind)." He also managed to move up many places in DJ Mag's DJ of the Year listings to number 20. He leaped to major success when he achieved a U.K. chart number one with his collaborative single "Under Control" alongside Calvin Harris and Hurts. - iTunes

In-CRED-ib-le. Everything about it (and it's not even the best song in this weeks' top 10! :o)
