For most of his teens, Smith balanced study with music, soaking in the raw and passionate approach to performance exemplified by his favorite artists at that time such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. "Latch" hit the upper reaches of the U.K. singles chart when Smith was 21, and many were surprised when his debut solo track took a more tempered path. The production on February 2013's "Lay Me Down" — also courtesy of the ordinarily dancefloor-focused duo Disclosure — recalled the stripped-back material that had proved successful for Adele in the preceding years. Next, Shahid Khan — aka Naughty Boy — decided to follow his Emeli Sandé-fronted U.K. Top Ten hit "Wonder" with the infectious, Bollywood sample-driven "La La La." Featuring Smith's powerful lead vocal, it became an instant May 2013 U.K. number one single following his spring tour in support of Sandé. - iTunes Chart history - Top 100 (Year peak title) 2012 11 Latch (Disclosure Feat. March 22, 201511 yr Oh dear, to think I thought this may have scraped the top 20... Decent track, nothing amazing though. Enjoy your one-week wonder M-NECK :heehee: When I first saw the name, I thought it might be pronounced M'Neck. That led me to suggest he might team up with Blue to form Blue M'Neck. Sadly, that joke doesn't work with the correct pronunciation :( My blue jokes repertoire (ooh, er Mrs) will have to remain at just one - they could team up with Pink to form Notso Deep Purple.
March 22, 201511 yr Yay for more random Australian artists making the chart though Conrad's singing lets the song down a little. that's actually true he sings it weak, but I still love the song
March 22, 201511 yr I still really like I'm Not The Only One. Probably the only one though :(Pretty sure you are tbh

March 22, 201511 yr Firestone is amazing. Also, only the second song ever to make the top 40 based purely on streaming. It's not at all based purely on streaming...
March 22, 201511 yr I still really like I'm Not The Only One. Probably the only one though :( You're not alone. :D

March 22, 201511 yr It's not at all based purely on streaming... When was it released? Don't remember seeing it in an iTunes thread. Or is one of those All Of Me types which were always "out" but took a while to get the ball rolling.
