April 14, 201511 yr James Bay or Ed Sheeran will get the #1 album then... If only Nightwish had released this week, they would have gone top ten... Edited April 14, 201511 yr by SKOB
April 14, 201511 yr Those sales provided for the top 5 singles are strong. The top 2 this week should both manage to make it over the 100,000.
April 14, 201511 yr Thanks Jayus. Last week's number 1 already outsold. Even if Omi had released on Thursday/Friday last week, he probably would have managed #1 by Sunday, given he'd be having massive weekend effect and streaming over Friday and Saturday. Wiz looking at some big sales this weekend, I was expecting him to be over 70k though. Hopefully Nick can push himself back into the top 5 by Sunday. Album sales though...Eek... Looking at number 1 selling under 15k on Sunday! If only Marina had released this week. :P Edited April 14, 201511 yr by Joe.
April 14, 201511 yr Wiz Khalifa could have released last Friday and would have been last week's #1 then!! Amazing sales there. Great to see Omi doing so well too even though he's got no chance of going to #1
April 14, 201511 yr This Wiz Khalifa track is from that new Fast and Furious movie isn't it? The cinema just down the road from my work is screening it over two screens at a total of SEVEN times a day. I'd hazard a guess this'll be a song that sticks around forever.
April 14, 201511 yr Post updated! Any requests for further Top 40 info, just let us know and one of us will get back to you. ^_^
April 14, 201511 yr Thanks :D - Really disappointed with that, I thought a combination of low sales, The pledge music pre-orders etc, would boost it up. He has 7 more HMV signings which could keep it Top 20 hopefully. I am over the moon at 11. :yahoo: Hope he can manage to creep into top 10. Fingers crossed. Good turnout so far at his signings apparently!
April 14, 201511 yr It's a shame that OMI looks set to stall at #2 seeing as he was high on pre-orders. I blame the record company for constantly holding back the release date and for iTunes not removing the fake version. Seeing as there's no major releases this Sunday, I reckon Wiz Khalifa & OMI will do a Cheryl & MAGIC! and switch places the following week. I also hope that streaming doesn't rob Lethal Bizzle of another top 10 and I hope that Major Lazer & DJ Snake will crack the top 10 Edited April 14, 201511 yr by Hadji
April 14, 201511 yr ^ Not a chance of them switching places next week. Iggy top 40 again is a very good sign, really hoping it can stay there for Sunday now!
April 14, 201511 yr It's a shame that OMI looks set to stall at #2 seeing as he was high on pre-orders. I blame the record company for constantly holding back the release date and for iTunes not removing the fake version. Seeing as there's no major releases this Sunday, I reckon Wiz Khalifa & OMI will do a Cheryl & MAGIC! and switch places the following week I can't see that happening, if anything the Wiz Khalifa song is the type of song more likely to gain further traction as a lot of people still won't be aware it exists, it only premiered a couple of weeks ago. Cheerleader has quite literally been floating around for years.
April 14, 201511 yr At this stage I don't see there being any indication that See You Again will suddenly drop significantly in popularity to allow Cheerleader to overtake. Of course I'll eat my words if I'm wrong. The Cheryl/MAGIC! situation was different, with Cheryl's pre-order sales just about being to her advantage over MAGIC! in week 1. Wiz Khalifa has stormed ahead of Omi, despite the fact the latter has weeks of pre-order sales and Wiz didn't have any. Edit: Joseph & Rich got in there first :heehee:

April 14, 201511 yr Maybe not next week, but Cheerleader could get #1 in 3 or 4 weeks. I know the song has been famous for ages now, but this song is also probably going to be near the top of the chart for months, so it just needs a boost of some sort one week and it'll get there.
April 14, 201511 yr Wow @ that climb for Kodaline! I know I sound like a Kodaline loon this week but it should easily manage Top 20 by Sunday :D I always said 'The One' would easily outpeak 'Honest' and become a slow burning hit. I don't think eventual Top 10 is out of the question yet either :)
