ah yes, too much left-wing comedy on that bastion of anti-establishment thought the uh... BBC.

In all honesty I hadn't really heard much about that show yet Twitter is saying it was going viral regularly, is that something that the millennial generation were watching?

In any case this is very worrying as it gives me 'state-controlled media' vibes and is making me reconsider my opinion that there can be good publically funded broadcasters.

Yiunger millennial and gen z were watching it. This is unacceptable to the Tories, and thereforr the BBTory media arm of the party, as they want to braineash the young. They cannot get them through the Murdoch press, and so they have to assault universities and get rid of left-wing comedy shows.

You are finally on my wavelength!! The state broadcaster is CLEARLY just an extension of the Tory party. It was extremely hostile with Labour in power compared to how it is with the Tories. It needs to go. It is state media propaganda, like that you would fins in Russia or North Kprea. Without the BBTory giving a veneer of truth to Tory lies, tou would not see a 40% Tory base vote.

The Mash Report reached the audience it was supposed to and connected with them extremely well. That is why the Tories don’t like it because it is a very impactful programme on social media and it’s never Kind to the tories.

I am sad to see it axed because I enjoy the mash report very much. I especially enjoy Rachel Parris‘ segments. One that is quite relevant right now is:

How few of those 359 do we reckon have actually read more than the title? I’m guessing single digits
Fascist one party state. You can get 10 years for annoying people - gammons - with INACTION!! You can get 10 years for a peaceful sit-in or annoying people - gammons - taking down a statue!!! Emily Pankhurst would have got 10 years for peaceful protest for women's suffrage !! The state and their police arm are not there to tell us when we can or can't protest. Vile.

Who'd have thought a Government with an 80 odd seat majority would get their bills passed through Parliment - mindblowing!

96 majority so not just Tories voted for this- imagine it was the DUP too..

No checks and balances, just a Tory dictatorship, with a compliant media, with a subservient BBTory, enabling them.

Not necessarily. Sinn Fein never vote and 359 is six fewer than the number of Tory MPs.

The most distressing part is that the notes accompanying the legislation admit that stiffer sentences contained in the Bill will make no difference to the crime rate. It is there purely as an attempt to win votes and to distract from the anti-democratic nature of the rest of this squalid pierce of legislation.

"War on woke", focus kn law and order and dystopian laws, lawful suppression of peaceful protest for the first time in modern history, focus on military spending - whilst only needing to return to pre-Tory austerity military levels to look the part - and a focus on WMD - blatantly assuming they will keep Scotland chained to England using their same propaganda tactics (propaganda being a fascist marker in itself), a deeply sycophantic media, reverence of statues and propaganda of some glorious history, hence why Bojo rejects criticism of Empire from other nation states, such as Ireland, which was heavily affected by colonialism, anti-intellectualism, and a dodgy election system. A news report today examined the Tory links to the postal votes company. No one should know what is going on with postal votes before the day, and yet the BBC's Lara and Tory Hancock brazenly crooned about how well the Tories were doing in it. All of the above are signs of fascism.
They have withdrawn their fascist bill ... for now. It will come up again later in the year. Norice how it even had provisions designed to stop the lone Remain protestor as well!

Due to some violent protestors ruining a peaceful protest in Bristol including police officers with broken bones think it’s a given that it will pass law now later in the year. Hope it’s not a summer of riots but the tension in this country is palpable.

I would guess it was like the usual anti-lockdowners at this protest judging by lack of masks. :drama:

This new anti-police trend that has emerged as a result of the events at Clapham Common, that it's now acceptable to attack ANY police officers because a few of them made a mistake and had too much of a heavy handed approach at Clapham, is responsible though. Cressida Dick should apologise for getting the approach wrong at Clapham and then we can all move on from this disturbing rise in anti-police sentiment please.

The Bill I don't think I agree with though, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with Covid and preventing protests during lockdown, I thought it might have been because of it.

It was a protest against the bill mentioned above, not an anti lockdown protest. The protest started off peaceful enough (although against the law) but some hooligans disrupted it. I think a lot of unemployed people cooped up for months hasn’t helped either.
