I’ve had such a good year for concerts so far! I’ve already matched my record for most in one year (2018) and will surpass that very shortly as I have a few more coming up (Diana Ross tomorrow!). I’v

Just got Kacey Musgraves tickets for October 23rd, had to after she unleashed album of the year and nobody this good ever comes to Bristol
  • 1 month later...

I've booked in to see the incredible Dagny on 24th October and am extremely tempted by the Lena (of ESC winner fame) gig on the 5th of November.

So hyped to see Dagny. Wearing Nothing is such a banger

I booked my ticket to see Steps, Blue and Saara Aalto in Yeovil today (RIP AQUA </3)

I can't wait to go, it's on 10th June so not long to go!

I'm ridin' solo

My list now...

Charli XCX, Bastille, Rationale, TYDE, James Arthur, Ella Henderson, PVRIS, COIN, Kodaline, Aine Cahill, Tom Walker, The Beach, George Ezra, Lily Moore, WALK THE MOON + flor

Coming up...

RAT BOY, Declan McKenna, Bad Sounds, The Vaccines, Two Door Cinema Club, Sundara Karma

Also hoping to see Let's Eat Grandma and George Fitzgerald at some point this year.

I've been to a decent number of gigs, but don't get to them as often as I'd like now that I've got a wee one and a lack of babysitters. They also vary wildly in genre, but variety is the spice of life and all that.

Travis

Meat Loaf (2 tours)

Eminem/Marilyn Manson/Papa Roach and various other late 90s rock/rap artists at Gig on the Green in Glasgow.

Stereophonics

Chumbawamba

AFI

Westlife (this was not my choice - it was a present for my partner of the time. I really should have known then to get rid of him).

Spice Girls

Girls Aloud (2 tours)

X Factor (3 tours)

Kerry Ellis

Robyn

Leona Lewis

Kylie (2 tours)

Lady Gaga (4 tours)

Steps

I went to all points east festival yesterday and it was f***ing incredible *.* i saw the xx, Lorde, Lykke Li, Stefflon Don, Rex Orange County & Sevdaliza *.*

Lorde was off my highlight and I'm so glad I've finally got to see her live, green light was something else 😍😍 The xx slayed and I didn't know much of Lykke before last night and I'm now obsessed with her *.*

Always wanted to go to a festival, gonna try my best to go to Glastonbury 2019 *.* Hopefully other ones before that, I know it's hard to get tickets.

Upcoming Concerts:

Katy Perry

Britney Spears

Shawn Mendes

All at the SSE Hydro!! I MIGHT be seeing Rita Ora in Dundee also

Basically all of the artists on that list Sam :cheeseblock:

I really hope I'll be able to go see Lorde live whenever she's next touring in the UK, wanted to go there with Jade during her last tour but none of the dates/locations worked out unfortunately!

You went to see Young Fathers? Lucky you!

Yes, they were incredible live - they were at All Points East this weekend. Definitely go and see them if you get the chance DT. : )

TitP used to be the absolute best festival to go to. Shame they were forced into relocating from Balado. The organisers have a new on in Glasgow, i think at Glasgow Green. That'd be worth checking out as they pull out a great line up of acts.

Rita not performing in Aberdeen? Seems odd she'd do Dundee and not one further north.

Sadly not! It only seems to be Little Mix, Olly Murs and Emile Sande who come to Aberdeen these days :drama:

How times have changed! Growing up it was always AICC that artists did if they were doing a second Scotland show. Used to piss me off no end that the choice was Glasgow or Aberdeen and not Edinburgh as Edinburgh was the easiest/quickest to get to!

Strictly speaking you don't really need a ticket to go to the Rita Ora gig in Dundee. It's in a park on the waterfront. Just stand the other side of the road and you've got it for free  not that the locals do that at all

Even Rihanna performed in Aberdeen once  I always wondered why acts don't perform much in Edinburgh!

I'm sure the AICC was the only Scottish Date on a Cascada tour one time

I can't think of a venue in Edinburgh actually suitable. They could host a theatre tour but a proper Arena tour or a tour taking in decent sized venues wouldn't have anywhere I can think of to go. Edinburgh lacks a venue like the Armadillo.

Just got back from a crazy day which revolved around seeing Why Don't We at Shepherd's Bush Empire this evening. Preceded by a trip to their hotel (the wrong hotel first... then a dash across London to the correct one lol x), hanging around by the stage door and getting a fist bump off my fave, Jack Avery *.* the gig was so much fun - interestingly the first time I've ever bought a resale ticket as I missed out on the original sale! It was very expensive but so so worth it. Their set was 20 songs long (including my current song of the year Trust Fund Baby ), although all were quite short so it was an hour long in the end, finishing at 9:40 (quite early for a gig!). On such a high right now and I can't wait until they come back to the UK again - aiming for VIP tickets next time...!

A 9:40 finish? Are you sure you didn't miss the headline act?
