September 14, 20159 yr Author 12. Won't Go Home Without You = Avg.7.064 Highest Scores: 9.5/9: (Acidburn, Jonjo, American Oxygen, Bartsimpson, Juranamo, Riser), 8.5/8: (Rob S, Regina, LeeWallace, Fgiboy2511, Chapman, T Boy, Ezra's Whore, Kylie Jackson) Lowest Scores: 2.5: (Nick F1), 4: (Ultraviolence1989, Gavindeejay) At #12 is "Won't Go Home Without You" which is the highest ranking single on this rate not to get a single 10 or 11, which isn't too shabby and did get several 9's and 8's throughout the scoring process. Released in November 2007 as the 3rd single from their 2nd album "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" (leaving only one left to come). In August 2007 the band asked fans to send homemade videos to help them make the video, and officially the actual music video was aired in October of that year. The guitar undertone is based on the Police single "Every Breath You Take". It performed moderately on the US Top 100 peaking at #48, in the UK it became their first to miss the top 40 peaking at #44. Elsewhere it had better reception by hitting top 10 in Australia and top 20 peaks in Germany, Italy, Austria, Canada and New Zealand, and also top 40 in Netherlands and Ireland. VlMEGBsw6j8
September 14, 20159 yr Author 11. Sugar = Avg.7.145 Highest Scores: 10: (Acidburn, Ultraviolence1989, Joe, Jay, Bartsimpson, Gavindeejay), 9.5/9: (Liam, LeeWallace, Chapman, Ezra's Whore, Kylie Jackson, J*hq), 8.5/8: (Mack, Pippa, American Oxygen, gooddelta, Riser) Lowest Scores: -1: (Dobbo, Fgiboy2511), 1: (Chez Wombat, Nick F1) Just outside the top 10 at #11 is "Sugar" released in January of this year as the 3rd single from their 5th album "V". It's music video was inspired by the 2005 movie "Wedding Crashers" and funnily enough the same director David Dobkin also did the video as well, as request by Adam Levine himself after he e-mailed the director himself and for years many fans have asked the band to do the "WC" movie concept for a video and 10 years later they did. The song became a smash hit by reaching #2 in the USA becoming the album's most successful single there and #7 in the UK becoming their 8th top 10 hit. Elsewhere it topped the charts in Czech Republic, Lebanon, Serbia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea and Turkey. Along with top 5 peaks in Bulgaria, Canada, Hungary, Croatia, Israel, New Zealand, Ireland and Denmark, then top 10 peaks in Australia, Italy, Scotland, Netherlands, Spain, Swiss and Ukraine. 09R8_2nJtjg
September 14, 20159 yr Sugar gets a bad rep, I don't really understand why. It's quite an anthem and a vast improvement on Birthday :kink:

September 14, 20159 yr 'Sugar' for me should have stayed as an album track. The problem I have with it similarly to 'Maps' is that these are songa that make it sound like Maroon 5 have been stuck on a timewarp. Churning out the same old sound and for me it got a bit boring especially in 2014. I think 'Sugar' I would have liked much better and especially as a single choice by them if it was released of one of their first few albums but anyway it became big so kudos to them. Definitely think it wouldn't have been a hit without the video though. Just sayin.. Edited September 14, 20159 yr by Rob S ~
September 14, 20159 yr 4 songs out of the top 10 are from Songs About Jane. Take note, Maroon 5. Deservedly!
September 14, 20159 yr Wake Up Call that low is ridiculous :drama: Payphone should be last tbh, utterly horrible "song".
September 14, 20159 yr Pleased to see Won't Go Home Without You as the second-highest from the second album <3 This is going much better now, that's a solid top ten. Surprised to see One More Night in there but I reckon it'll be one of the next to go. I do hope a couple of the newer tracks can make the top 5.
September 15, 20159 yr Author 10. Animals = Avg.7.370 Highest Scores: 11: (Riser), 10: (Regina), 9.5/9: (Jonjo, Mack, Era's Whore, American Oxygen, Gavindeejay, Dobbo, Hennymoon) Lowest Scores: 0: (Ultraviolence1989), 2: (Nick F1) At #10 we have "Animals" released in August 2014 as the 2nd single from their fifth album "v", while many believed that "It Was Always You" was gonna be the 2nd, this was released instead. It's music video caused controversy for causing violence against women seem edgy, but none the less it became another hit for them in the USA by reaching #3 becoming their 10th top 10 hit. In the UK it wasn't quite as successful by peaking at #27, but managed success elsewhere also by reaching top 5 in Canada, Lebanon, Slovakia, South Korea, Finland, Israel and top 10 in Hungary, Croatia and South Africa, top 20 in Germany, New Zealand, Spain, Italy, Denmark. Norway, Sweden, Netherlands and Swiss. qpgTC9MDx1o
September 15, 20159 yr Animals is pretty good but not 'amazing'. I'd rather it swapped positions with Payphone imo
September 15, 20159 yr I'm not sure how Animals made the top 10. It's so very average. Sugar is a much better pop song.
September 15, 20159 yr Author 09. Sunday Morning = Avg.7.466 Highest Scores: 9.5/9: (Rob S, Liam, Bartsimpson, T Boy, Hennymoon, Riser), 8.5/8: (Acidburn, LeeWallace, Chapman, Ezra's Whore, American Oxygen, Kylie Jackson, J*hq, Kellyann) Lowest Scores: 4: (Jonjo), 5: (Ultraviolence1989) At #9 is "Sunday Morning", which honestly quite a surprise as it didn't gain any 11's or 10's, but still managed a lot of high scores and not that many low ones. Released in December 2004 as the 4th single from their debut album "Songs About Jane" and while it's not as remembered as the other singles from the album, it's still a fine and decent enough track. It became their 4th entry on the US Top 100 at #31, as well as making top 30 in the UK at #27. Elsewhere it managed top 20 peaks in South Korea, Hungary and Netherlands, then top 40 in New Zealand, Ireland and Australia. At this point I think that most people were just buying the album instead, or the ones who already owned it, already had this song, so there was no need to buy the single, as it didn't offer anything new to the public.
