Have to say I thought the pester power of kids might have kept it higher in the charts - will be lucky to go Top 75 at this rate!

It would be nice to see 'Careless Whisper' getting near the top of iTunes :heart: not sure whether to expect it to make an impact on the official top 40, I hope it can if Bowie and Prince were still able to get a few top 40 entries. Won't be getting a chart play regardless of how high it is if the chart show is the EOY one this week though.

Bear in mind that Prince died around the start of the chart week! (but the time of the death of George Michael pretty much corresponds exactly to the death of David Bowie though, so there's something)

Nearly 19000 chart sales from spotify alone in 3 days (Mariah on 21000). By the time you add on other streaming sites and sales might be up to around 30000. Last week the threshold for top 10 was 34000 chart sales so I think it looks likely.

Too Funky is so underrated, it is his only dance tune and it is a great tune at that......Should be doing better on itunes imo.

I guess it's a smaller effect than Bowie and Prince anyway but remember iTunes sales are much higher than normal due to the gift card effect, making it a bit tougher to climb!

I've got a compilation CD called The Dance Chart and that has Wham! Rap on it.

I hope GM can manage to climb into the top 10 with one of his tracks. He's too much of a legend to deserve anything less than top 10. :(
