I'm pretty sure they will, they're bound to have playlist support from the off (I mean, look at how quickly Cold Water found itself on all the big playlists) and some pretty decent curiosity sales, I'd be surprised if they missed out on the top 10!

I think a lot of that could be attributed with the song featuring Justin Bieber more than being Major Lazer honestly.

Even still I can't see this not going top 10 first week here if it is good, considering how little new stuff is out.

I think Major Lazer are the sort where it depends on the song, or a big name featuring on it. Like of course with Justin Bieber on a song they're gonna go straight to #1 with it, Nicki Minaj is a big name but not the level where she'd rocket them to #1. The names combined should easily be a top 10 or top 5 though I'd have thought.

THeir album sounds bloody amazing though, they've apparently worked with Sam Hunt, Sia, Tove Lo, Camila Cabello and Tinashe!

SAM HUNT??? Wow! Really intrigued to hear that. He's the last person I'd have expected them to work with

Obviously stacked for Tinashe *.*

 240. Don Diablo, Steve Aoki & Lush & Simon - What We Started (feat. BullySongs)

YESSS. Incredible song used to feature on BBC One's 2017 advert

Wow pretty excited that Ed has a new song out in the first week of 2017, is it def confirmed? If it's Singesque it could have huge sales!!

Yep, confirmed via a video by himself on his Twitter page :D Very exciting!

And London Grammar as well, loving this fresh start to the year!

Matt Terry still at 90 on 1/1/17, maybe it'll chart again in 11 months as it starts again!!

Lone Digger is fantastic - great to have a proper lively dance song in the top 40. And retro influenced too  I'm surprised Caravan Palace never played on Strictly...they are suited for that show.

Anyone know why 'True Companion' by Marc Cohn is in the Top 100? It's an album track from his 1991 album and was a minor US hit.

Not sure where else to put this... it's a great week for new releases coming up, where are we thinking they'll get to in the chart as of now?

The Chainsmokers ft Louane - Paris

Major Lazer ft PARTYNEXTDOOR & Nicki Minaj - Ring Her Up

Ed Sheeran - TBA

I'm thinking #1 for Ed, #3 for Major Lazer and low top 20 for The Chainsmokers.

They are in the release schedule for Friday, I think Kiesza is also releasing, really don't know how well that will do though with Dearly Beloved

I know it won't do anything at all but I can't wait to hear this, loved her first era

Where is the confirmation about Paris is being released this Friday? It's just a guess...

The other two, yes. Rooting for ED!

I'll be annoyed if Clean Bandit hold all of them off #1

I don't think Clean Bandit have any chance of holding Ed off being #1 he will no doubt have a HUGE lead.
