After 2 wonderful albums, Ed Sheeran is on track to deliver another excellent album based on these two songs. I hope the race between both tracks remains close as its interesting to see one artist battling with themselves for number 1. Castle on the Hill is the one i would like to be number 1 for this week.

I look forward to seeing the opening sales for his album.

Human now down to 0.1187! Castle has gained a tiny bit on Shape but obviously both are increasing rapidly still.

Great to see JP Cooper still in dark green, hopefully a top 10 placing awaits him officially next week! Starley is surely heading for the top 10 too, now up to #12 :o and Shed a Light up to #29, securing that official top 40 placing for next Friday :D

 20. Snakehips & MØ - Don't Leave :o this one has crept up quietly while we've all been focused on Ed!

Snakehips & MO will be a big hit I reckon - sounds so anthemic! Probably a top 5 contender eventually? Also both Ed's tracks are fab I'm really impressed and they are justifying the success they're getting
Digital Sales Data has estimated that Shape of You has sold 47k and Castle on the Hill has sold 45k already :o Ed's coming to secure the top 2 spots for next Friday on day 1, without even taking streams into account  Amazing!

:o hang on 300k for one week

I'd like for both tracks to take turns at #1. Watch out Clean Bandit, you won't be getting that tenth week at the top :cheer:

How was 'Cruel' doing at this point of the day? 'Don't Leave' seems to be doing very well considering it doesn't have a name like Zayn attached to it!

But it has MØ of Major Lazer fame who is big at the moment

It's odd that Sia is doing so well. It's essentially a slightly cleaned up version of a song that has been available for nearly a year, so I'm not sure why people are buying it.

'MØ of Major Lazer vocalist fame' doesn't quite have the name-power of 'Zayn of One Direction fame' :P

Got to say, I love both Ed songs. Power to Ed. Also great to see people BUYING new music! Love a buzz like this.

Especially when Drum got nowhere near this high upon release :')

Tbf, apart from 'Pillowtalk' has ZAYN had anymore big hits? The Tay duet seems to have under performed somewhat. Maybe we're over hyping his abilities on name alone?

Around #25 or so? Think it's high up on the hot songs section (it was at the top before the Ed songs came out), either way Don't Leave will likely be a far bigger hit as it's much more poppy/instant than Cruel ~

Love "Shape Of You"! Not a fan of "Caste On The Hill" though. Ed should have to #1 and #2 on this week's singles chart on lock it seems!

Great to see Sia's "Move Your Body" off to a great start - hope it can become another top 10 hit for her.

I thought Sia was releasing/ promoting Never Give Up as the video had just been released

Like Move Your Body... although my personal fave of the album is House On Fire

'Never Give Up' is a soundtrack single isn't it? Which is probably the reason for the video.
