Is there anything out in the foreseeable future that might knock Shape of You off the top spot? I mean, other than another Ed Sheeran song? Could this be a Drake style 15 weeks at the top song?

I think it'll be Symphonies by Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson.

I think this could be a good bet! If not, Harry Styles' debut single is expected in 2 months...

9 new entries! Expecting all of them apart from Cigarettes and Cush to stay in.

EDIT - can someone that has more than just this top 40 update shed some light on which tracks are likely to stay top 40 on Friday and which will drop out?

We don't know I'm afraid!

As if Ghetts & J Hus will have a chart hit and be played on the chart show...

Take That at #72 :drama:

And Stormzy has managed 4 Top 75 hits in his career so far and after this week that will increase to 15!

Hope Stormzy can cling on to #1, it would be thoroughly deserved and great for British grime which must be one of, if not the, most impressive genres which the British music industry has right now.
Just noticed Emeli is back in the Top 10 albums! Much needed Brits boost - the album is so good but so different from the debut and it's not getting the recognition it deserves as a beautiful album.

J Hus could have another if Samantha gets big, I think me and you both would be delighted with that

Rick Wakeman's Piano Portraits is the first real surprise album of the year in that it seems to be doing better then I would have expected
The fact that 8 of the new entries look likely to still be top 40 come Friday is pretty damn remarkable given the current climate
