'Places' is amazing, 'Do It Right' was one of my favourites last year and it's a shame it didn't do better. :( He has a really stellar back catalogue really.

 

Shame also to see Steps dropping like it has a brick tied to it. Not that it wasn't completely expected, but I had vain hope the shock of it would create some attention and garner a bit of stability.

You just have to do what we do here in the States--invent award shows!

 

In addition to the Grammys, we have: the American Music Awards, the People's Choice Awards, the MTV awards, the Nickelodeon (Kids and Teens version) awards, the iHeart Radio awards, the Billboard awards. Then the country genre has at least 3 different awards shows, urban music has the BET awards....

 

But that would pander to the hottest artists of the moment. :lol:

Steps are tumbling. :drama: Hopefully they can still bag a top 40 hit with this.

I know Steps are dropping but they have managed to stay top 10 for almost 3 full days. What does worry me though is Take That were top 10 on Itunes but had the addition of 12,000 physical sales, Steps dont have that so the best outcome is probably top 30 now which still isnt bad as i expected the single to flop.If Steps promote through the week they may stabilize it even a small bit.

Maybe so but there's definitely an audience for music-oriented shows. They just need the right format, the right advertising and artists that aren't already dominating the airwaves and playlists.

I know! No Popworld, no An Audience With..., no TOTP. The BRITs usually get over 5 million viewers so it's not like our country doesn't enjoy watching music performances. :lol:

I don't know why I keep expecting good stuff from Zedd, when he always seems to disappoint. I thought after 'Starving' being good (even if generic) his next one would be too though, but I just can't get into 'Stay'.

The news Steps song is fantastic, I just booked tour tickets. I would love for it to be a hit!

On the Big Top 40 they play whatever is in the iTunes Top 10 as the 'official' Top 10, so that would explain its one play. Would be the same case for Capital too!
