Bit disappointed in that winner of the 3, didn't fully get it but a debut win is always nice wd Suedey! Thanks for hosting 7, it was really tense to follow being so close which is always fab!! V happy with 10th, a unique posiiton and after my diva stop (sorry guys :kink:) the massive rise was fab to watch. I was off tab for like 20 mins and lotti was like "look now" and I was suddenly 12th from like last
No, and I'm fairly confident I can say that will never happen, the contest has too many people with completely polar opposite music tastes lol ~

Ah well you never know someday it might happen!

Great contest Seven! Really enjoyable and wonderfully presented!

Definitely the strongest top 3 I've seen in a while. Would love for The Bleachers to take off Walk The Moon style over here, but I doubt it. FARC would've been my preferred winner, but another banger and another 2nd placing for them! :arrr:

well done suede!! decent song, but i ALWAYS love a new winner <3 i never win when i'm universally predicted to anyways!!

i'm hoping i won the semi for another one to my total <3

great to see Suedeonia winning, congrats again!

we can all expect a very 'interesting' AQ next month as well then :o

:yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Wow, I thought the song would do well but I wasn't expecting to win. I suspect the song has won more points than all the previous Suedeonian entries put together (including SF votes)

Many thanks for everyone who voted for it. It was genuinely a song thrown up by youtube which I listened to and thought "I really like that and, you know what, I think Buzzjack night like it as well". It really was as random as that.

Wasn't a big fan of the Suedeonia entry whereas I loved the other 2 big contenders but huge congrats Suedehead2! Great to see a first time winner & so early on in your BJSC career :cheer:

Thanks for those kind words, even if you didn't like the song

And that's part of the fun. There were plenty of countries that didn't vote for any of the top three. It helps to make it more unpredictable.

Of all the countries to get a first win this year, I wouldn't have called Suedeonia for it! Very well done though, Simon, this one took a while to grow on me but it was very close to my points in the end. Pleased to see a lot of my faves in the top 20 too.

I'm a little disappointed with 33rd, I was hoping it would have slightly wider appeal than it did, perhaps a little bit too unconventional in the end, but still, it's nice to be back in the final and thanks to all who voted! Am really not sure where to go next atm but I'll be back in the game soon dw~

Thanks for a great show, Seven!

Well, congratulations Suede! That is a superb winner, another one I thought was an excellent song to follow on from Hurricane in the winners list and a new winner too!

Very happy with 12th as well, I think we need to start a new non-10th place meme for me as my last four final entries have all finished in a different position between 11th and 15th

I just realised I never actually added an extra widget to Seven so I'll just do that and the new one now.

I was impressed with how quickly I got my widget :D

Came 22nd in my 22nd contest, now that is pretty satisfying.

Btw I only voted for two songs in the top 10 this time :o but my 18 was 11th at least!

Congrats to Suede! Getting a first big hit and going all the way to the win with it *.* Will we be going to Suedeonia for BJSC 96 then? ;o Really loved having such a close top 3 throughout, and all three are great songs too (they ended up in the reverse order to how I ranked them but I did vote for all 3!)

Amazed but thrilled at #00274E coming top 5 after receiving so little fanfare, it was already an enormous grower for me as I originally had it just low top 20 in its semi-final but ended up giving it 5 points and if I'd waited a few more days to vote I think it could have actually got more like 10 or 11 points! A bit of a shame at Espen missing the top 10 in the end (11th with great songs 2 months in a row u wot) although a big gap to the top 10 and they still outperformed their predictions so ~ Yeasayer, felicita, Jens Lekman and Nu:Tone all wayyy too low as well </3

As for myself 38th is a bit disappointing, a new low (excluding DNQs obvz) under the post-BJSC 74 rules oops (although still not a bloody unique position as Dennis Ferrer came 38th in the One Big Final era ) and actually even worse than my predictions. I wasn't expecting great things but I did think I had a good shot at at least top 30. Ah well, at least it wasn't a DNQ ~~ I think I probably will be DNQing with my next entry based on what I currently have lined up but it's a song I've been loving and constantly coming back to for months so hopefully that means something ;o Thanks to those who did vote for David Starfire (especially Frank for being my only medal position this time oops!)

Thank you for being a wonderful host Savan :cat: (PS have double checked your final scoreboard and it's all good! Thelonia should have the deduction of course tho which just barely saves République d'Ashton from being last)

So that's all folks :magic: hope you all enjoyed cos it's been a fun and wonderful and kinda arduous but mostly fun experience to host again~

anywho, WELL DONE to Suedeonia on their win- one of the year's best pop tracks and absolutely deserved to get the job done  commiserations but also congrats to FARC/Aeroche, Medhelnia on scoring 300+ and #00274E getting top 5 with an indie track!!

(also PWR BTTM managing 27th wtf lol)

Hang on a sec...just got word Jack Antonoff and his band are here with us tonight :o! how convenient, now let's enjoy a live performance of BJSC 95's winning entry to close us out- DON'T TAKE THE MONEH. :cheer:

(and we even got jimmy kimmel to announce it how cool is that)

Can one of the mods create (and pin) a winners hall of fame thread for present and future BJSC winners, and include their song/video/MP3 link etc so we can see quickly and easily the winning formula. ;)
No, and I'm fairly confident I can say that will never happen, the contest has too many people with completely polar opposite music tastes lol ~

The closest thing to that I remember happening is CHVRCHES' The Mother We Share getting points from all but one country in the semi, although it didn't do anywhere near that well in the final!
