^clearly an error and should be Believe
If it was eligible to chart 'Believe' would be at number 31. In the Top 40 Singles midweeks update for today Music Week have included the Eminem tracks that aren't eligible to chart because of the operation of the "three tracks per main artist" rule. If the rule wasn't in place then Eminem would also be at numbers 28 ('Like Home'), 31 ('Believe), 32 ('Remind Me') and 38 ('Bad Husband').

That said, even I'm not sure why 'In Your Head' is so high given its performance at both streaming and on download sales. It's puzzling.

So, Adele didn't release anything and Ed Sheeran is coming for this year's Christmas number 1. I'm soooo excited! -_-

EDIT: 'Only' 16 Christmas songs in the top 40. I was expecting more than that tbh. :drama:

out of his 18 album tracks, it's the 14th on spotify and 9th on itunes

current itunes position #187, on spotify it's at #86

makes no sense

Just wait until next week!

I really doubt there will be an increase - hope not anyway. Once Christmas Day is over the decline in some of those tracks will be rapid.

As much as it is enjoyable to see some of these tracks back we really need some new songs in the Charts from new Artists.

That's your opinion personally we should have as much Christmas music in the chart as possible Christmas week

The amount of listening/downloading on Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Monday will more than make up for the fall on Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday!

Yes I get the logic but the chart announced after Xmas last year had 10 Xmas songs, that sort of level would be preferable.

Thursday's data will be an average of the previous 6 days, so it'll only really be Tuesday/Wednesday that'll see a drop off!

True about Thursdays averages - Mariah did a million streams on xmas day alone last year didn't she?

The songs also don't fall immediately on Boxing Day they fall between Boxing Day and Saturday 30th!

885,113 streams for Mariah on Christmas Day last year! Wham! did 896,404. 80 songs out of the Top 100 were Christmas songs. http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=5584267

Boxing Day:

02 - Last Christmas by Wham! ( 235,877 )

19 - All I Want for Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey ( 152,686 )

Christmas week, fine... but it lasting for an entire month is really ridiculous.

Exactly, the chances for new Music are reduced all the time.

But new music has 11 other months and it's not like some can't release in December still and not be a hit!

Thanks for the exact figures! Near enough to what I remembered though I forgot Last Christmas did so well!

THIS

I love Xmas music in the charts for as long as possible! New releases will avoid the month.

It's not an error, it's In Your Head.

I meant it's an occ error, not an error from you guys

I find it odd that folk think Christmas is over after Christmas Day and stop streaming in such huge numbers, it's the start of the 12 days of Christmas!
