Where's Roman going then? He hasn't even been there that long!

"in favour of a full-time television career" according to the tabloids. He has been hosting the Capital Breakfast show for 7 years now in fairness!

Has it really been 7 years?! Wow. Certainly doesn't feel that long. I guess I don't blame him for wanting to explore more TV opportunities, although he does pretty much seem to present everything already
"A source told The Sun" should always be taken with a pinch of salt, but it's too much of a coincidence that Roman is leaving Capital and Jordan is leaving Radio 1 for Jordan not to have nabbed the Capital Breakfast show. I'd imagine it's quite the salary increase.
If the BBC are that short of money then could Vick not continue doing the drive show on her own? No disrespect to Jamie.

Jamie Laing is so f***ing lazy, there are SO many talented radio presenters out there so to go for a celebrity who isn't skilled in this is sad to see. Radio jobs are becoming fewer and fewer for "normal" people.

Absolutely agree with this, but it’s been like this for a long time!

Looks like Jordan’s gone completely with no goodbye and no Vick Hope next week either. Sam and Danni are scheduled to cover ‘Going Home’.
I had the Vick & Jordan show on the other day and they were talking about retiring the Judge Jordan feature and asked for suggestions to replace it, so this news definitely feels very sudden and unplanned.

The Roman Kempire!

Makes you wonder what has happened!

It is a little odd that neither Vick and Jordan are presenting together now until he 'leaves', almost as though he's gone already and they're scrambling to find cover. It wouldn't surprise me if we have Sam and Danni until the first week of March.

Not too strange really, presumably he’s now on gardening leave as they won’t want him effectively be free advertising for Capital (assuming that’s where he’s going). Basically avoiding a repeat of the Ken Bruce situation last year.

Sam & Danni are indeed on next week, the following week is still unclear.

Makes sense for Vick to be off so they can re-launch Going Home properly on 4th March.

Personally I think it looks worse forcing him off air and not giving him a chance to say goodbye. It feels awkward and as though there's something more going on. The BBC have lost a lot of staff to Global, Bauer and News Broadcasting it's kind of embarrassing for them.
As the BBC are needing to make budget cuts, they are unable to match the offers the commercial sector are offering, hence them losing people as they follow up he money. If Jordan has jumped over to Capital, I bet he’s been offered mega bucks. I’d expect more of the story to start unfolding this week, if not tomorrow.
And yet the bbc continually make better programmes and produce the stars the commercial sector have to buy. It’s happened for years.

He'll be on garden leave, nothing more to it than that. I'd imagine it will be in his contract and the BBC have decided garden leave is the best course of action.
