Posted May 21, 20187 yr Results: Ten Chair Challenge (Well it would be a bit boring just to announce all the qualifiers and why not bring back an X Factor gimmick in summer?) Here's how it will work: θ The acts will be revealed in their running order. The first 18 acts will either receive a Bye (bye as in automatically through to the next round, not bye as in go home) or a Seat. By the end of this section, 8 acts will be automatically through and 10 will be in seats.* θ The remaining 11 acts will then, in order, try and 'win' a seat from the acts currently in seats. If the act in question gained more points than an act currently in a seat, they will gain a seat, and the act on a seat with the lowest points will be announced as Out. When all acts have performed, the 10 acts remaining in seats will advance through to the Final alongside the byes. θ NO-ONE IN A SEAT IS SAFE UNTIL THE FATES OF ALL ENTRANTS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED! We don't want any premature celebrations, that would be... awkward. (of course this all depends on the spreadsheets being correct, which isn't certain knowing me) *The Byes will be randomly chosen from qualifiers in the first 18. They have no bearing on how well the act did in the semi (except the fact they obviously qualified) Semi 1 results will begin at 19:00 BST with Semi 2 results immediately after!
May 21, 20187 yr So I guess we should all be shooting for a bye? (personally I think I'd find it more fun being in a seat as it seems that bit more exciting if I've understood correctly lmao, am tired ~)

May 21, 20187 yr Exciting format! Didn't have enough time to do odds or predictions but I will ensure I do it for the final. In terms of predictions it's anybody's guess, seems so open this month in terms of qualification.

May 21, 20187 yr Pete, I didn't think you had it in you, that's horrible! Nice and exciting though. Not sure if I'll be able to make the results live but if not I'll catch up a page at a time so it'll probably kill me either way. x
