February 25, 20197 yr I hate 'Giant' :( Rag N Bone Man's voice goes right through me, Calvin is really releasing pop/dance music to cater to the locals as well. Hopefully Ariana can get back to #01! The others don't appeal to me, Mabel would be good but I can't see that even getting Top 3 now.
February 25, 20197 yr The others don't appeal to me, Mabel would be good but I can't see that even getting Top 3 now. After such a strong start, I feel like this isn't blowing up the way it should have done. :( Maybe Ariana is overshadowing her? Idk. At least it should put her in an even stronger position when she releases her next single. -x- Lots of sales info from Music Week regarding today's update: The Official Charts Company Midweek Sales Flash is in, and the BRITs effect is leaving its mark in both the singles and albums charts. Calvin Harris & Rag’N’Bone Man top the singles list with Giant, which rises 4-1 thanks to 18,652 sales. The pair performed the song at the BRITs last week, while Harris did the same with Sam Smith and Dua Lipa. Harris & Smith’s Promises (4,585 sales) rises 50-30, while One Kiss (3,280 sales), with Lipa, jumps 69-49. Pink won big on the night and enters at No.7 with Walk Me Home (11,000 sales). Breakthrough Act winner Tom Walker rises 19-10 with Just You And I (7,717 sales), while Best British Male George Ezra leaps 27-13 with Shotgun (5,837 sales). Fellow winners Little Mix rise four spots to No.22 with Ty Dolla Sign collaboration Think About Us (5,042 sales), while Jess Glynne’s Thursday (4,732 sales) moves up 41-28 following her performance. The rest of the singles Top 5: BRITs nominee Lewis Capaldi’s Someone You Loved (17,053 sales) at No.2, followed by winner Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings (16,319 sales) and Break Up With Your Girlfriend I’m Bored (16,083 sales) and Breakthrough runner-up Mabel’s Don’t Call Me Up (14,797 sales). In the albums chart, Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next (7,891 sales) and The Greatest Showman (7,352 sales) hold onto the top spots. Giggs enters with Big Bad (4,500 sales) at No.3, Ezra rises 5-4 with Staying At Tamara’s (4,332 sales) and Sleaford Mods’ Eton Alive (3,916 sales) is new at No.5. Double BRITs success propels The 1975’s A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships (2,301 sales) 23-11, while Pink shoots 55-13 with Greatest Hits – So Far (1,779 sales). Jorja Smith surges 47-23 with Lost & Found (1,278 sales) following her performance and Best British Female win.
February 25, 20197 yr After such a strong start, I feel like this isn't blowing up the way it should have done. :( Maybe Ariana is overshadowing her? Idk. At least it should put her in an even stronger position when she releases her next single. Still comfortably her biggest hit which is nothing to sniff at after the massive underperformance of the previous single especially as it is her worst song.
February 25, 20197 yr Is it so hard to get Sleaford Mods' name right? Be grateful you get an update on Buzzjack at all. No need to be so rude when offering corrections.
February 25, 20197 yr Go on Joe, keep it as Sleaford Minds for the rest of the week  Edited February 25, 20197 yr by Whoody4Paramore
February 25, 20197 yr Still comfortably her biggest hit which is nothing to sniff at after the massive underperformance of the previous single especially as it is her worst song. Exactly with streaming it's difficult to get such a big surprise no1 no matter the quality of the song!
February 25, 20197 yr Yeah I still think it's a huge achievement for Mabel to get a Top 5 hit after her previous single didn't get Top 40! I guess she could still do rise, she's doing really well on Spotify.
February 25, 20197 yr So do you guys think Calvin's 2.4k lead over Ari is enough for him to stay No1 after the missing data is added?
February 25, 20197 yr Still comfortably her biggest hit which is nothing to sniff at after the massive underperformance of the previous single especially as it is her worst song. Really?!?!?!
February 25, 20197 yr Still comfortably her biggest hit which is nothing to sniff at after the massive underperformance of the previous single especially as it is her worst song. Oh absolutely, no denying it's been a big success and she's definitely turned it around after 'One Shot' fell short of the Top 40, but I thought it could have been even bigger. Whenever I've played it in front of friends, no one has gone mad for it which I thought they would do. Sometimes it feels like there's people who don't even know it still.
February 25, 20197 yr Yeah I know what you mean. It came on in a gay club and it got a pretty much muted response!
February 25, 20197 yr Gahhhh. Really routing for Ariana to pull through (at this stage any of the 2 but prefer buwyg,ib)
February 25, 20197 yr this is how the top 4 are doing in all the different platforms right now, I reckon Calvin could have a chance on Itunes 2 Calvin 0.81 4 Lewis Capaldi 0.60 10 Ariana-Bored 0.20 22+42 Ariana-7 rings 0.19 on Spotify 1 Ariana-Bored 518k 2 Ariana-7 rings 505K 4 Calvin 419K 5 Lewis Capaldi 395K on YT 2 Ariana-7 rings 379K 3 Ariana-Bored 344K 5 Calvin 279K 11 Lewis Capaldi 228K on Apple 1 Ariana-Bored 3 Calvin 4 Lewis Capaldi 10+26 Ariana-7 rings Based on the above, I would say Ariana will take #1 and #2 again easily. btw with thank u next on ACR, its streams are half the value of bloodline and needy, so one of those could overtake with the missing data.

February 25, 20197 yr Album chart looks wide open this week, on the surface a two-horse race especially as Sales are up for TGS but around 20K should seal the #1 spot? A Star Is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody Soundtracks will get a big boost from Oscars and will make Top 5 easily.
