I wish services took more of a stand against songs/artists with such charges as YNW Melly. Taking them off playlists isn’t enough, they should be removed from being made available full stop.

Go on Calvin for no1, Ariana as usual collapsing on download platforms relatively early!!
for what I understand, this YNW Melly song is fictional and predates all that happened to him later in real life as it was written quite a long time ago
Katy Perry 365 likely to be around 60-70 by Friday... ouch :(

Westlife could manage at least 1 more week in the Top 40 outside of this week, as it has remained steady.

I’m really surprised that Spotify has given Westtlife the level of support for this single that they’ve had. It’s top 10 on Hot Hits UK. I mean Westlife are surely the definition a heritage act, something Spotify usually avoid like the plague.

Maybe its the Ed Sheeran attachment that has helped.

Their record company sent them a cheque ?
I haven't listened to the song but I feel like with YNW Melly there's a curiosity factor to it due to the charges. Like how true crime documentaries are really popular right now, there'd surely be a lot of people listening to it out of the fascination to see if a song called "Murder On My Mind" has some sort of insight into the psyche of a killer (I don't know if it was written before or after he did anything). I don't think most people consciously listen to the song knowing that they're helping an artist's chart position or giving them a fraction of a cent (or if they are, they'll probably mentally justify it that it really is just a fraction of a cent). Unless it's really catchy or something it'll probably decline pretty quickly.

I would agree if it was just a spike in streams the day the news came out followed by a very swift drop but that's not really the case, it's been over a week and it's still increasing heavily every day. There are clearly quite a few people who are discovering the song through the news and listening to it a lot. I'm all for separating art from the artists in general so I guess if people like the song then it's whatever, I was just making the point that the link between doing an awful thing and having a big hit single is much more direct here than with X and 6ix9ine which people ranted about endlessly.

Today update I miss number 27 in singles chart from music week hope someone know who it is
