If the artist using social media is using it to push for extra sales to contribute to the chart i dont mind, besides nobody moaned about the rosemary shrager memes which were fun yet had even less to do with the chart, so i think its fair :lol:

I'm hoping Calvin can snatch #1 for this week. If he gets beaten at the last moment, I will be very disappointed, because he's not likely to get it afterwards.

Urgh may have to resign myself to Lewis snatching it at the death. I really though Ari would have overtaken both but not likely now. It's been a while since we've had a neck & neck race like this though [i guess Xmas #1 was uncertain most of the week but ultimately the gap was massive].

 

Detest the song BUT fair play to him if he gets to #1 & he does seem like a sound bloke. I'm also actually quite enjoying Grace now for what it's worth, had that been the song challenging at the top I wouldn't mind at all.

I feel like she still stands a chance given YouTube data is missing for two days.

 

On a similar note, do we know if YouTube streams for Thursdays are included in the Friday official chart? Or are they estimated/averaged like they do for Spotify?

pretty sure they have to do estimations for YT too, cos it's even slower than Spotify reporting, it wouldn't surprise me if they even have to estimate 2 days x YT?

 

Lewis now on the lead on iTunes (Calvin down to 0.8) and extending the lead over Calvin on Spotify, so hope he makes it!

Yes a bit of an oversight on my part there. I was implicitly referring to 'battle' between different artists rather than a straight shootout. I mean, I doubt *that* many people cared which one of Ari's tracks was #1. Most seem to like both or dislike both!
