June 23, 20196 yr Well we usually have the month long gap for Buzzjackfestivalen after the 5th contest of the year, I guess it's only 3 weeks this year cos of the multiple setbacks we've had. Anyway, for anyone craving another song contest, one may be opening in the dance forum in the coming weeks...

June 23, 20196 yr Well we got a good result at the top there, what a wonderful top 3, I gave double figure points to them all which is certainly a rarity, all amazing in completely different ways. Congrats to Freeze as well, extremely infectious and great for this time of year so no real surprise, I remember you hosting just before I joined so this is a nice throwback! 33rd two months in a row...and that's after 22 for the contest before, I guess I'm into multiples of 11 this year, I can get behind this random stat as it makes up for the disappointing placing, but then this was always gonna be very niche and looking at the semi result it's not a regression at least, thanks very much to all who pointed it! (I do love that me and Jadakissnia were next to each other in all the results and the running order as well, super niche entries stick together *.) Thanks for another entertaining edition, ducky. Depending on the dates, I'm not entirely certain I'll be able to take part in the next one for ~reasons~ but I'll wait and see, gives me plenty of time to recalibrate my sound nonetheless!

I had expected most people to ignore my entry but a surprising number of you showed incredibly good taste by giving it points, I was feeling like I'd won the thing every time I saw my name on someone's votes :D Of course it was the best song here but I need the makeup of this thing to change a bit more for that to be recognised x Excellent top 3 there, well done to Greenfroze, great winner, Weyes Blood took a little while to grow on me but I'm glad it did and I pointed it well because as soon as I sent off my votes Jacob told me the backing sounded like Muse's Bliss and I can't unhear that now (which is a good thing), and Change was also great. I can also say I CALLED IT, because I did even if I didn't post about it, I should do that more.

Y'all seriously slept on Budtar, and Vulkyria to a lesser extent based on that semi regression. Really loved this contest, my entire top 15 was really strong even if most of them underperformed. Thanks ducky for making these results go a lot more smoothly :lol:

June 24, 20196 yr Really happy with SOFI TUKKER as a winner, although it was a sliiightly uninspired choice :P I'm just glad that it has given both acts a big hit in BJSC after previous underperformances, pretty similar to Two Steps From Hell the other month - both of these artists will definitely be vetoed in the future now though so no one else try and get away with them again xx Excited for the prospect of a possible Greenfroze hosting, the last Greenfroze contest was very well run iirc although that was right at the end of my days of entering the contest just for the sake of it and not really following it closely (it was the last time I failed to vote in the semis which I used to do half the time oops) :magic: I'm glad you're happy with it! I do remember that too actually, that you weren't as.. enthusiastic :P Although I unfortunately don't think I'll be able to host the next one.
