Our Prime Minister got owned by Luxemburg. The same country that is the smallest state in the EU. Not only that, Boris seems to think staying in the EU is costing us £250m a week. Yet there was a big red bus that said £350m per week. it's just an absolute pack full of lies.

Boris seems very confident about us being out of the EU on the 31st October, yet he didn't say how he is going to do it. I suspect there are also hundreds of other people working out just how the Prime Minister has to ask for an extension as it is the law...

Ah yes, all along Brexiteers were the real oppressed minority.

White straight people born in the 50s and 60s have had it so hard for the last 40 years compared to any other group!

This is what really grates me. I just about get my head around elderly people born in the 30s and 40s who have nostalgic views of yesteryear and wish to go back to that time, but the baby boomer generation have literally spent all of their adult enjoying the rights and privileges that being an EU Citizen brings, only to yank it away from their children and grandchildren and let them deal with the consequences of a no deal Brexit whilst they themselves are close to retirement, many are outright homeowners and are able to enjoy a private pension. They got all the benefits of membership, and now will suffer the least.

It really is rather disgusting and unforgivable when you think about it.

Yes.

He's just trolling. He hasn't been on for a while, so trolled extra hard. He pretended to buy Trump t shirts in the lounge

Boomers overwhelmingly voted Leave, but the very elderly, those who remember WW2 and were teenagers or older during the Suez crisis, voted Remain!

Yep this is true. Just saying that I could get my head around someone very elderly voting leave, but like you said the majority voted remain.

I just don´t get what people think is going to happen(in a good way) after we leave. It really is pointless but they won´t hear it ...."scaremongering" "project fear" "the sky isn´t blue" etc etc etc. I´ve tried having reasonable, none argumentative conversations with people that I know that voted leave and it usually just results in either..."Well I don´t care what happens.." or insults.

That rather seems to contradict the Remainer claim that the elderly dying off will hurt Leave, then.

I think Supreme court will go against the Scottish decision. I just don't think they'll want to go against the Government. The deliberations shown live on the Court's website stream from 10.30am. Case expected to last three days with verdict late Thursday/ early Friday.

Adjourned until tomorrow. These judges don't work very long hours do they?

They don't just work during court sitting hours.

According to Sky the judgement is very unlikely before next week as they'll deliberate all day Friday.

I once had to spend a whole afternoon being asked questions by a panel of people at work. It was absolutely exhausting. Having to concentrate for that long without any sort of break is far more difficult than you'd think. It certainly made me appreciate why court sitting hours are fairly short.

They’ve probably worked more hours today than you have in your life.

From The Mirror:

Boris Johnson has refused to rule out proroguing Parliament for a second time in order to dodge the law and ram through a hard no-deal Brexit even if he loses in the Supreme Court.

Speaking to the BBC, the Prime Minister insisted he will "uphold the Constitution" and "obey the law".

But he also insisted Britain will leave the EU with or without a deal on Halloween - despite MPs passing a law effectively blocking a no-deal Brexit.

"Here's, here's what I want," he said.

"I will uphold the constitution I will obey the law but we will come out on October 31st."

The BBC's Laura Kuenssberg asked Mr Johnson eight times how he intends to find a way around the law and take Britain out of the EU on October 31 - without breaking the law.

But he refused to explain how that would be possible.

Just more and more bluster. If he stuck to his word, he'd have been flattened under bulldozers. That was anothrr do or die promise he made. Oops.
Jo Swinson and the Lib-Dems are a disgrace. She's been saying in her end of conference speech that if they win a majority (nearly fell off my chair laughing at that!!) she'll revoke A50 on her first day in office. Sorry dear but there's more chance of me getting a job tomorrow than you ever getting an overall majority. :D They have no respect for the result of the 2016 referendum. I hope she loses her seat which is a possibility.
