October 7, 20196 yr Without seeing the Sales The Darkness look like they should end up Top 10 with this Album breaking the sequence of every other Studio Album going Top 10 (Albums 1,3 and 5).
October 7, 20196 yr Can't be more happy for Dermot Kennedy, the album is amazing and finally Outnumbered is going top 10!
October 7, 20196 yr Playing Games is at #53 and #68 so far. I'm sure it will be comfortably top 40 when they get round to combining them.
October 7, 20196 yr Summer walker & Bryson tiller and solo playing games should been join sales together or is right been 2 different songs
October 7, 20196 yr I don't get how the OCC don't notice that they left 'Playing Games' uncombined. Am sure it'll be fixed by the end of the week but... I see 'Goodbyes' and 'Sunflower' have both gone to ACR so we have 'Take What You Want' back (although not top 40 any more) plus 'Saint-Tropez' possibly finally getting a top 100 debut. Another pretty boring week :cheer:
October 7, 20196 yr Looks like Goodbyes and Sunflower (again) on ACR, so back comes the Ozzy collab and Saint-Tropez should belatedly get a (minor) chart entry. Edit: basically what Bre said. Edited October 7, 20196 yr by jimwatts
October 7, 20196 yr Sales info from MW - The Official Charts Company Midweek Sales Flash is in, and Dermot Kennedy is the early front-runner in the albums race. The Irish singer/songwriter’s debut album Without Fear (11,357 sales) begins the week in front of The Beatles’ reissued Abbey Road (6,708 sales) and The Darkness’ new record Easter Is Cancelled (5,533 sales). Simple Minds’ Live In The City Of Angels (5,485 sales) is new in at No.4 and Ed Sheeran completes the Top 5 with No.6 Collaborations Project (4,383 sales). In the singles chart Tones And I continues in top spot with Dance Monkey (22,398 sales), chased by Travis Scott’s Highest In The Room (17,324 sales). Regard’s Ride It (16,002 sales), AJ Tracey’s Ladbroke Grove (11,921 sales) and Kygo & Whitney Houston’s Higher Love (11,866 sales) complete the Top 5.
October 7, 20196 yr The Darkness with those sales look safe to achieve a 4th career Top 10 album. I expected both OMD and Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds to be easily Top 10. Mika, is charting where i would have expected. Dermot Kennedy wasn't who i expected to be Number 1 this week but i welcome it ahead of The Beatles for another week. Would be wonderful to see Five Star stay Top 40, but Top 75 is likely where they will result at the end of the week, this will be their first time on the chart since 2001. All the above aside, i am disappointed with Niall Horan as low as Number 38. Edited October 7, 20196 yr by pippa
October 7, 20196 yr Nick Cave is of course streaming/digital only, it would be clear #1 if it was released physically.
October 7, 20196 yr *Five Star's 'Gold' Haha thanks! I never even heard of them before today, oops! 🤦🏼♂️🙈
October 7, 20196 yr it's a pity Nick Cave's label didn't release the physical this week, it would have been a more interesting battle... just checked and the last 2 Nick Cave albums did virtually the same, 23.1k (Push the Sky Away) and 22.9k (Skeleton Tree)... and looks like Dermot Kennedy won't do much more than that
October 8, 20196 yr Five Star still picking up a few Amazon Sales They missed a trick not releasing the Vinyl the same week as CD as it defo would have gone top 40. Keep buying Supermarket mums!
October 8, 20196 yr Wow at Summer Walker’s Album being top 10 didn’t think she was that popular yet over here . It will probably fall out by the end of the week but still a top 20 Album would be great for her over here . It’s looking like it’s heading to number 1 in the US !
October 8, 20196 yr Summer is #1 on Apple Musics album chart She might climb with streams being missing
