Removing cast soundtracks is ridiculous! They are not same as compilation albums.

Especially ASIB is clearly a duet album, all songs are credited to Gaga and/or Cooper. They are even billed in the cover.

In actual fact it just says 'A Star Is Born Soundtrack'! (A hype sticker alerts to the fact that it's Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper, but the actual cover and the spine just refers to it being a soundtrack.

It really should be 'Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper' though, a shame that it's being relegated. At least it enjoyed a great chart run

All very strange. The Greatest Showman in the Top 25 for two whole calendar years, then gone seemingly for good.

Does this mean the 3-track rule will no longer apply across such albums if the tracks are by different artists? There could have been 9 or so songs in the Top 100 at once, including Tightrope and the two Reprise tracks! Maybe it was a phenomenon unlikely to be repeated, but it's a bizarre rule change.

this is becoming the Ed Sheeran Chart now isn't it? Eventually they will get another #1 without even being #1 in streams

^yes, I spot 7 songs from frozen 2 in the mids

and 5 from the Jackboys EP

Blah I'm a lousy stan, somehow remembered that it had their names on it.

but I think being a soundtrack is not an issue, only thing is 1 artist has to sing all songs

ie recent Brude Springsteen or Last Xmas

and when applied strictly, Cast soundtracks like Greatest Showman make sense

and even more A Star is Born where Gaga/Bradley sing all songs

Where would 'Yesterday' chart - artist or compilation?

Where would 'Yesterday' chart - artist or compilation?

Compilation I'd assume, as there are 3 different 'artists' credited on the tracks.

Just got an alert on my phone from Amazon Music regarding their Jax Jones NYE playlist - first track is an Amazon Exclsuive of his track with Ella Henderson - hopefully it will get some hefty streams tonight as a result :cheer:
Oh Jesus, is that not the one on Apple too?

It’s not, the Apple one is a different remix which is now available on all platforms, the Amazon one is a VIP version.

Stormzy just posted on Instagram the race for #1 is tight and asked people to download on iTunes.
