August 21, 20204 yr Releasing a song titled 'Tick Tock' featuring an artist who has had multiple viral songs on TikTok. Where is the chorus of people slamming their obvious cynicism like what happened with Drake :coffee:
August 21, 20204 yr Idk what y’all are on but I’m so into this! Idc that it’s cheap or CB by the numbers. I love this!
August 22, 20204 yr This sounds more old school CB with the violins which seemed to disappear after rockabye
August 22, 20204 yr The chorus is good with Mabel and 24kGoldn's backing vocals but I don't think the rap goes with it that well.
August 22, 20204 yr This is definitely an earworm! I appreciate it’s a retread of what’s these artists have done before but the added violins and bleepy bloop sounds add to it’s appeal and it’s a solid chorus also! I’d imagine another top ten and maybe doing similarly to I Miss You? Certain hit but not massive like some of theirs have been.
August 23, 20204 yr it is nothing new for them but I am rather enjoying it, pleased to have the return of their strings too.
August 23, 20204 yr It’s growing on me too. It’s not another Symphony but it’s as good as something like Solo.
August 24, 20204 yr midweek #34 - similar start to 'Baby' which entered at #33 first week. decent showing seeing as it's been about 18 months since that left the chart.
August 26, 20204 yr While this thread has suddenly pivoted to being positive... ...let me bring it right back by calling this out for being complete trash. The nicest thing I can say is it's at least slightly more tolerable than 'Mama' and 'Mad Love'.
August 26, 20204 yr It’s nice I have listened to it a few times but it is literally another ‘Mabel’ song and I’m getting so bored of the same from her now. Also, I actually think 34 in the mids is terrible considering the power Clean Bandit once had and Mabel usually does well on streaming! Edited August 26, 20204 yr by Mr. C. Joel
August 26, 20204 yr This is fine, but I'm not really drawn to it, I think I've listened two or three times and don't really care to again, but I wouldn't turn it off if it was on the radio. Mabel could and would do this exact song without Clean Bandit, a disappointing collab for sure given what they are capable of. Mabel pushing out of her comfort zone and doing something like Symphony could have been brilliant!
August 26, 20204 yr I’m liking this but I don’t think it’ll go down in the hall of fame for either artist. It feels like a lower tier Jax Jones song
August 27, 20204 yr it's really a disappointing comeback and Mabel is so on autopilot I almost prefer the rapper's parts :)
