Beyonce to save the charts and keep the Drake thing away from #1!!!! Smart move on her part, as usual!!!!

Just checked and Roses has dropped much less than Blinding Lights, only 6%, so might still avoid ACR

Cannot really see AJ Tracey getting #1... Rain did well but I thought that was due to Aitch also being in the song. The previous AJ Tracy songs didn't go top 10, not even close.

No idea what’s happened but the Savage remix is now #56!

Must of been an error with US Apple Music?

How bizarre!

Really hoping Live Lounge Allstars can pull through somehow and get the #1, just because it's an actually good charity single to listen to. BBC Radio 1 are pushing it a lot at the moment and I've seen a few of the artists involved make posts within the past 24 hours (Rita Ora, Rag'n'Bone Man) mentioning that there's a shot it'll be #1 this week and to download.
Do people really think that beyonce remix noise has a chance of no1 lol

Charity singles promote good causes of course, but usually bring C level work from the artists.

Charity is better than nothing I know, but instead of promoting the songs every week how about focusing on structural change for once? No one should be dependent on charity, never.

I know the UK has a long tradition of having charity singles, all in good spirit... but from the outside respective it really feels an half measure. Let's be critical and focus on structurally changing the system.

Having said that, as pop fan, charity singles have giving us a lotta iconic moments (e.g. Sugababes vs Girls Aloud).

oh too bad it was an Apple error, hope it climbs

I did it was at #1 on Apple Music this morning. Clearly an error.

From the OCC.

While the Live Lounge Allstars took the early lead for the top in Sunday’s First Look bulletin, The Weeknd's Blinding Lights nudged ahead yesterday with a new lead of just over 6,000 copies. But today the charity collective have clawed it back; closing the gap on their Canadian chart rival overnight, they are now just 1,100 chart sales behind, according to the latest Official Charts Company data available today (April 30).

If the charitable cover can experience another strong day of downloads like it did yesterday, the coveted top spot remains well within reach. Should Blinding Lights keep control and claim the Number 1 slot once more, it will mark the track’s ninth non-consecutive week leading the Official Chart.

Who knew this pandemic could deliver two tense chart battles back-to-back? :drama: Come on Abel get that ninth week!! #StreamBlindingLights #BuyBlindingLights
Gap down to 1,100 behind the live lounge are from the weeknd gap is close fast

OK but I'm sure there are like 3-4K gap from streaming that missing still for TW, so basically they need the exact same day as yesterday and they can do it, They need one last push and not to bleed all day on ITunes.

Downloading a 2nd copy from Amazon :drama: All for a good cause and I’d love to see TLT at #1

it's a pity Spotify hasn't given even the tiniest support for the Live Lounge song, it's the outlet where it's struggling the most, only at #120

doing much better on Apple Music (#6) and Amazon streaming (#22)

Looks like this will be the 6th week Blinding Lights is at #2, behind 5 different songs, of which 3 were off the back of some heavy campaigning for #1.
Amazing that we thought COVID-19 would kill off downloads and physicals yet during this time paid downloads are up due to charity releases and chart battles and 5SOS and Gerry Cinnamon have had #1 albums with huge physical sales

If it was just one place higher for all of those weeks, it would be about to get its 14th week at the top!
