May 28, 20205 yr Author Persephonia Good evening, here are the final votes from Persephonia, with thanks to République d'Áskorza for stepping in to belatedly deliver us this final ~ Our 18 points were an easy choice this month, going to Dobago delivering a mega banger that gives us heavy DANCE WITH THE DEAD vibes but turned up to 11, it's the second time we've given Dobago our top marks to date following Albin Myers in BJSC 86 and the fourth time they've placed in our medal positions. The other two medal positions go to nations who have recently returned following lengthy absences. 15 points go to an earworm with a hardhitting chorus from D'yermak'er, who are 3 for 3 on getting points from us with their 2020 entries, it's their third time to date in our medal positions with the previous two both also being songs that finished 2nd for us (10 points to Kacy Hill in BJSC 71 and 15 points to Jessica 6 in BJSC 77). Then our 13 points go to the grand comeback of Kathaldazia after nearly 5 years in the wilderness, with our favourite of the plentiful 3am club vibes entries this month; this is only the third time we've ever voted for them and by far the most points we've ever given them (they last appeared in our votes when we gave 2 points to LCNVL in BJSC 57, and the only other points we've given them was 3 points for Jadyn Maria all the way back in BJSC 20 when we were still known as Egabbac). We can only hope it won't be as long a wait to the fourth time they get points from us xx Niceland also nab their highest points from us to date and their first time ever in our top 10 of a final, as 8 points to them doubles the total we've awarded them following 2 previous entries that each got 4 points (Creye in BJSC 108 and Kadebostany in BJSC 116). Auto-qualifiers Ojnoj also match the highest points they've ever received from us, picking up 7 points, the same as Alyssa Shouse in BJSC 30 (although they have placed higher in our ranking twice before in contests which used the 12 point system, getting 4 points in BJSC 33 and 3 in BJSC 73). It is their first appearance in our votes at all since Andrew W.K. in BJSC 103, a belated thank you for the 18 for 070 Shake last month xx Also worth commenting on Hendinia grabbing 5 points, the most we've given them since they got our full 18 for Troll in BJSC 92, Flynnonda getting 4 points for their anniversary entry, Hushkanukia getting 3 points to mark their first points from us since Notimes in BJSC 106 and Sandénia finding a new consistency as they get 1 point from us a second month in a row, only the third time we've voted for them to date.
