Out next in ninth place is La Roux's 80s-inspired breakthrough single 'In for the Kill'. The track entered the UK chart at #11 where it eventually climbed to #2 - sitting there for 4 consecutive weeks! Those who dislike the track can thank Calvin Harris and Tinchy Stryder & N Dubz for blocking its path to the top. :kink: La Roux would later get to number one with their follow-up 'Bulltetproof' neveretheless! I look back on the music scene of 2009 fondly but looking at some of the songs in the chart from that time I think I've just blocked out the crap. :lol: 'In for the Kill' isn't awful imo but as one person stated in the previous thread, it's very shrill. Still, it is a good example of the genre of music that dominated that particular time.

Ah if I read the thread before voting I'd have gone Gareth instead of Westlife. American Boy definitely one of my favourites in this round.
